Secluded and Luxurious
Perfect for a quiet mountainside getaway. Far off the beaten path this well-updated cabin was the perfect getaway. Close enough to Breck to enjoy the mountain town, but also a great escape.

Family Vacation
This cabin is beautiful with amazing views of the Mountains!! Great location close to Breckenridge and Vail. The hosts where extremely helpful and even provided an "I Spy" activity for the family to do as we traveled from Denver to the cabin. We would highly recommend a stay here!!

Great stay in the mountains
Great cottage with a view. The place itself was large and the 3.5 bathrooms is a huge plus for groups. The gravel road to get to the house is quite rough so you have to drive carefully. Overall it was a clean and welcoming place to stay for a week.

Beautiful Property with all the comforts of hone
Our family had a great time in this area. Hiking, fishing and relaxing. This property is quiet, well maintained and very comfortable. The grandkids saw deer and were so excited. I will return again.

Lookout Lodge was spectacular
This cabin is in an incredibly beautiful setting. The valuted ceilings, big windows, and amazing wood work give this cabin and incredible charm and outdoor feeling. The basement has two really nice bunkbeds including a queen bed. There is also a loft that could sleep an older child. This place could comfortably sleep 11 people. The views are insanely spectacular. There is great hiking right up the mountain from the front door of the cabin as it backs up to the state park.

high on mountain with great views. lots of room, did not feel crowded. had a little problem with tv on arrival, too many controls laying out, but office responded quickly and it turned out we only needed one control and sound bar was off. he was friendly and had everything going quickly. we took several trips over passes and enjoyed very much.

Amazing Customer Service and Great Home
When a different vacation rental company really let us down, we turned to Second Home Vacation Rentals and they did not disappoint. They were able to find a last-minute home that could accommodate our family of 8 in one hour. They always promptly answered our phone calls or texts. Not only was their customer service amazing, but the home was clean with all accommodations we needed. I'd recommend this vacation rental company to anyone in the area, especially over the bigger companies.

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was in a beautiful location and was spacious enough for 3 families with plenty of privacy. It was very well furnished in the kitchen as well. The view was also amazing. There were a few minor things that could be rectified. The stovetop had a burner out and another that did not go to low. Also, there might be an electric issue with the pendant lights in the kitchen as they would strobe every time we turned them on, so we used other lights to illuminate the kitchen area. We could not get any of the doors on the back side of the house to lock on the entry level or the lower level which was a little unnerving given all the animal tracks that we found, especially near the bedroom in the basement. Other than that, the house was lovely and we would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Mountain Getaway!
We had such a wonderful time in this cabin. Just far away from civilization to feel out on our own but close enough when we needed something quick from a local store. The cabin was so wonderful and with beautiful views. Saw wildlife on property every day and loved how secluded we felt in this perfect mountain cabin. Also, we LOVED all the attention to detail with the cabin features such as laundry detergent & fabric sheets, garbage bags, spices and plenty of paper towels and toilet paper and even plenty of clothes hangers for our clothing for our stay. It was absolutely perfect for our vacation. Also, they let us know via text the day of check in when the cabin was ready which happened to be a couple of hours early - much appreciated!!!!! Will definitely be staying with this group again. Thank you for making our vacation so special!!!

Lookout Lodge; some recommendations for a great mountain home
Our stay at Lookout Lodge was great. This is a beautiful, comfortable and quality home. The proximity to hiking trails and fun towns is excellent. Please consider these suggestions for future guests: - actual chairs for deck furniture in addition to the wooden benches. We inquired about patio/deck furniture and it was confirmed that the deck had furniture. This is true, but there are not chairs. On such a great deck, it would be nice to relax and enjoy in chairs. -there are no dedicated grill tools. Kitchen is well-stocked with nylon/plastic tools, but there are no dedicated grill tools to make the bbq easy to manage. - freezer ice machine non-functioning. Ice is necessary, and guests need to know in advance if there is not ice available in the home. - for families/guests who cook, the addition of a couple more cutting boards would be great. There is one medium wood block and one large flexible plastic “board.” The thin plastic one on the tile counters isn't the best. -there are several options for coffee in the kitchen. For espresso drinkers, it would have been nice to know there is a machine in the kitchen so we could have planned ahead to bring espresso coffee/ground for that. -wifi is hit or miss. Don't know if the signal can be boosted, but watching streaming services like Netflix was hit or miss. Also, there are no dvd's that we could find as advertised. -gas fireplace in main living room not easy to use/decipher directions. Overall, this is a very comfortable home. For families like ours, who love to be outside on the porch and cook our meals/use the kitchen to prepare our own meals every day, some simple additions could really maximize the accommodations.

House is very nice, but....
Beautiful house, beautiful setting, beautiful views. Lots of space, nice furnishings, management very helpful and available. House is located on a very bumpy gravel road, be mindful of your vehicle. I would highly recommend 4 wheel drive. Our family had some trouble with altitude sickness, was expecting mild symptoms, but over the course of a few days, symptoms got worse. Certainly not the fault of anyone, just something to consider since we were caught off guard a bit. Recommend City Market in Breckenridge for the large grocery trip. Al-mart in Alma works great for forgotten items or if you're in a pinch. Made an emergency run there for dramamine and 7up.

Spring Break Visit
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, just as described, and comfortable for our group. My only feedback is the remoteness of the location. We knew the house would be outside of Breckenridge (our main goal of visiting was to ski), but with the weather during the trip (lots of snow) and the location of the house up the mountain, it took 40+ minutes each way to get to the general store in Alma and 60+ minutes each way to get to Breckenridge.
