This was our first Vrbo rental. The process was easy and everything went to plan. Paul was great to book with. The cabin was in a beautiful part of the area surrounded by trees. We had storms roll in during our stay and the power did go out but Paul, being an amazing host, went above and beyond to take care of us. You can’t fight nature.
We hiked to Antelope and Buffalo springs. (No swimming here.) They were both beautiful and completely different. Only 1.5 miles round trip and possible for most people/age levels. Make sure to stop in the Travertine Nature Center to learn more about the area you are hiking in. If you are interested in swimming spend time at Little Niagara Falls. There are a few other swimming sections in the area but we didn’t get to stop at them. Again, we couldn’t do it all, there was so much!
The mineral springs were closed during our visit due to some previous weather but it just means we have more to do next time.
Most importantly visit the Chickasaw Cultural Center. So much to do. There was a wonderful walking portion with gardens, a theater with movies and stomp dance demonstrations, a mock village you can explore, trails, a pond, and more. It is free to explore but I certainly recommend visiting the museum on the property it was only $7 for adults and worth the money. We learned so much.
Overall we will book again! This was a great area to spend time relaxing and reconnecting. We will bring our families next time.
