Great to disconnect
It was a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature, but would have loved to known that there was absolutely no curtains at all in the whole building. I understand it’s out in the middle of nowhere and nature surrounds the place but would have loved the spider webs taken off from entrances and wish the sheets would have been cleaned before our arrival. Overall we made the best of it.

Our first Vrbo
This was our first Vrbo rental. The process was easy and everything went to plan. Paul was great to book with. The cabin was in a beautiful part of the area surrounded by trees. We had storms roll in during our stay and the power did go out but Paul, being an amazing host, went above and beyond to take care of us. You can’t fight nature. We hiked to Antelope and Buffalo springs. (No swimming here.) They were both beautiful and completely different. Only 1.5 miles round trip and possible for most people/age levels. Make sure to stop in the Travertine Nature Center to learn more about the area you are hiking in. If you are interested in swimming spend time at Little Niagara Falls. There are a few other swimming sections in the area but we didn’t get to stop at them. Again, we couldn’t do it all, there was so much! The mineral springs were closed during our visit due to some previous weather but it just means we have more to do next time. Most importantly visit the Chickasaw Cultural Center. So much to do. There was a wonderful walking portion with gardens, a theater with movies and stomp dance demonstrations, a mock village you can explore, trails, a pond, and more. It is free to explore but I certainly recommend visiting the museum on the property it was only $7 for adults and worth the money. We learned so much. Overall we will book again! This was a great area to spend time relaxing and reconnecting. We will bring our families next time.

Paul is the man
We had a great stay at La Cabana. Plenty of room for my 3 year old to play, no low to the ground decor for her to thrash, and the perfect pocket bedroom for her to sleep (she called it her cave). It was never too hot inside and my daughter made her first s’mores in the fire pit. Everything was very clean and all the kitchen/BBQ tools we needed were easily accessed. I had to contact Paul twice and he was very quick to answer both times (both times were my mistakes, not property issues). Do NOT rely on GPS to get you there, follow Paul’s map! He also sent some awesome restaurant & activity suggestions. We would 100% stay again.

Great property. Remote, clean, great communication with owner. Only thing I would add is outdoor electric plug for bass fisherman to charge their boat batteries. Other than that. Great place!!

Perfect for a Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at this nice property. Our favorite part was the fire pit area. We hung out there each morning and evening. It is secluded and we liked the views so understood the lack of curtains, but it is a little disconcerting. We wanted a getaway and it fit the bill.

Birthday Getaway
We had a very nice weekend. We went out to Turner falls for a friend's birthday. We enjoyed the cabin a lot. There were a few things we might change like better Wi-Fi. We cannot watch any movies Or too much that had to do with Wi-Fi. And we would suggest maybe putting some curtains up in the bedrooms. 7 AM comes bright and early. Overall we had a wonderful time at the cabin and we will be running it again.

Arbuckle cabin, away from it all!!
The cabin was nice, however several things were a challenge for us. The amenities were not as expected. The wifi was okay, but we struggled with the TV and available channels. There were no window coverings in the bedrooms, which despite being remote, we preferred to cover them. The main bedroom would have been too hot during the day if left uncovered. Basics are in the kitchen for some cooking and we managed okay.

Very Secluded
This was a really cute property. The owner was amazing and reached out with all the information I needed. He even sent me several websites of things to do around the area. When the listing says secluded, it means it. There were houses close by, but from the property, all you can see is trees and the great outdoors. It had a very homey feel and the fire pit was my family's favorite part. If I had any "concerns" (for lack of a better word) it would be the internet was very spotty and the house was on the warmer side during the day. It only had window units and no curtains or blinds. I was a little worried we would be hot at night, but that wasn't the case at all. Once the sun went down, it actually got a little chilly with the window units. I wasn't worried about the internet, but my son was mad Netflix wouldn't load well and kept buffering when he was trying to watch a show before bedtime. Not a huge deal. We weren't there to watch t.v. However, if you need your internet, this is probably not the place you want to book. If you want a secluded little spot close to Turner Falls or Chickasaw Recreational area, this is a great place. We made lots of great memories in the short time we were there. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Property
We had a great stay at La Cabana. The location is very secluded and absolutely beautiful. It is very conveniently located to both Turner Falls and Chickasaw Natl Recreation Area. We enjoyed exploring the outdoor area surrounding the cabin and sitting by the fire pit and on the screened in patio. The cabin itself was comfortable with pretty much everything we needed. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom makes a constant clicking noise, so we could not use it at night. A draining rack for dishes would make things easier in the kitchen. The main change I would make is to add some window coverings to the east-facing windows in the bedrooms. There are no window coverings anywhere in the cabin except the bathroom. I'm sure this is to maximize the beautiful views, but the morning sun is a kind of a rude awakening when shining brightly in your face before 7:00 AM. I would still recommend and stay at this property again. Paul was SUPER helpful with directions and information about the area, as well as recommendations on what to do and places to eat.

Cut off the water on second night!!!!
🤔I arrived at 8 o'clock at night and left the house early in the morning , and when I returned, it was 8.5 pm when I came across the water was cut off. I was also need take a shawer and restroom but I could not. I asked to you how long it take to result he said tech still working on it and don't know when wateis connecting, his suggest to give another propery but first need to make sure is that is ready and that set. for that reason I explained I left property at 10pm and drop keys in the smart key box. And I asked the house manager to reimburse me for the cost of the second night, but he never answered !!!!

Perfect combo: Hidden in the rolling hills, yet close to civilization
Our hangout was the screened-in back porch that had a wonderful setup of a tv, table and chairs. We plugged in a fan and found it to be our little oasis. Everything was super clean, with rustic furnishings to give you that cabin feel. Beware of leaving out any shoes to dry on the boulders...one was nabbed by morning time. Turner Falls was a lot of fun, especially the carriage ride that gave us a fun overview of everything it had to offer. I don't say this often: we would go back again! :)

Our stay at La Cabana was relaxing and rejuvenating. The property has a secluded feel yet is conveniently located to necessities and Sulpher attractions. The firepit was a hit for enjoying campfire and stargazing. It was wonderful waking up to the amazing views of the Arbuckle mountains.

Great Getaway from the City!
This was a great overall stay! It's secluded and away from everything, so we didn't have to worry about distractions or annoyances of city life (traffic, noise pollution, etc.). Got to introduce my mom, step dad, and youngest son to s'mores using the fire pit, and my oldest loved playing horseshoes by the tree line. The only reason I took off a star for cleanliness was there were thick cobwebs over the entrances when we arrived that I felt could've been removed, but that's the only thing that was even slightly off. Paul was an excellent host and responded immediately any time I had a question. Would definitely recommend this property and would book any of Paul's other properties based on interactions with him alone.
