"Perla del Sole is a small, friendly B&B, though with a hotel-style reception, in the resort of Arenella, 8km from Syracuse. The hotel manager (who spoke excellent English) greeted us warmly and provided plenty of helpful information, such as maps, local restaurants, transport information, etc. The rooms were comfortable with all the essentials, including air conditioning (definitely needed at night, as it stays hot after sundown in Sicily) and free wi-fi, and were well cleaned daily. "It’s amazing if you have your own car and are able to move around. Breakfast is good, the rooms are a little old but they are comfortable and clean, the staff is very kind. I’ve stayed at this hotel for the last 4 or 5 summer vacations. It’s an amazing place to stay if you want to explore the area."
