Also, there are nice walks from the front door to visit Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls at West Burton, and a longer walk to Bolton Castle. "Croft cottage was sympathetically renovated to a good standard. Some of the furniture was well used but in keeping. Amy put the heating on for us prior to arrival, and we used one of the log burners too, so it was much warmer than I anticipated from viewing the photos. The location was great too; it feels rural but is in walking distance (at least in one direction!) of Silsden, with all the usual amenities of a mid-size town. "The Reservoir View properties are all luxurious, beautifully styled and very comfortable, with all essential items provided. The Welcome Box contained lots of treats. A fabulous place for a short break. Communication with Sally, the owner, was excellent. The view over the reservoir is lovely and the walk into Pateley Bridge is great (though walking shoes are needed as it can get muddy)."

"We had a lovely, if not too short stay in the very comfortable and well equipped large beautiful studio apartment in stunning grounds with fantastic views, along with secure on site parking and only a 15 minute walk into Addingham where we found a good choice of amenities and enjoyed some good food in The Fleece and The Swan Host Barbara was extremely welcoming, and informative, and the welcome pack of the basic essentials went down a treat. Lovely room and friendly staff

"We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. En suite was well laid out and tastefully decorated. A few hangers were on a rail for our clothes and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also in the room. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffee facilities included a coffee pod machine, a kettle, tea bags, decaf coffee sachets and the usual milk pots and sugar/sweetener. My only suggestion would be to have a couple of normal coffee sachets in addition to the 2 pods. I had a cup of tea but would have had coffee if there had been sachets. Breakfast was included and a good selection of cooked items, cereal, toast, yoghurts and fruit were available. I ended up having sausage, egg, and beans as well as a slice of toast with jam. There was tea and proper coffee to drink as well as apple and orange juice. We all agreed that everything was delicious, including the kids, with the 8 year old demolishing the kids full english. We honestly couldn't have wished for a more friendly and accommodating host. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Ilkley."

Great hotel

"Fantastic place to stay. We used it as a base to visit the lakes and dales for a couple of days. Hotel/pub was in a lovely little village. We were in the Superior room which had a lovely view overlooking the river. Room itself was big with a nice comfortable double bed. Cleanliness was ok, room had clearly been cleaned however just a few marks on the wall. This didn't matter too much or affect our stay. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Could have done with some toiletries (no shower gel provided). Breakfast was fabulous - pastries, cereals and full English and great quality!! We ate in the bar one of the evenings, food was good and reasonably priced. Parking was free. Staff were nice, in particular Dave who was great and couldn't be more helpful!!! We will definitely return as there is so much more to explore in the area and would 100% choose The New Inn as our base. "

"It’s the second time we’ve stayed. The first time in July so it was lovely to see a period Inn decked out for Christmas. We met with locally placed relatives for dinner which was lovely. Staff all friendly, especially Yvonne who does the breakfast shift and settled our bill. The Inn has great views and an enjoyable experience overall."
