"I would have given it 10 out of 10 if it wasn't the lack of hot water during my husband shower when it was 2 degrees outside. He had to get out wet and have a shower in another apartment as there was no one to fix the issue at the time. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and the service from the waiter as well. "Hotel virtually empty and in need of external refurbishment. The location and room quality are excellent. Restaurant and bar reasonable on quality and price. Located right next to a hydroelectric dam which creates lots of electricity, to be carried away through the many wires and pylons, and a little waterfall type noise. "For us, this was a great choice. A quiet location and we had a view of the river from our room and also from the common area patios. The hotel clerk gave us excellent advice to take the scenic train from the station across the street which was a wonderful experience. He also showed us a scenic drive through the wine country with a detour to a lookout point which was breathtaking. However this is a very isolated location with one restaurant next door and one across the street. We did have a great meal at the next door restaurant. But if you are looking for lots of dining options this is not the place to stay. The room itself was a bit small and not recently updated. But it was very quiet and we had the window open all night with a nice breeze off the river. Breakfast was a full buffet with lots of options. "
