Peggies Cottage. Well !!!!
First of all this place is a converted garage, it has been cobbled together over the years and apart from the main living area resembles something of a cave. My best guess that this was a granny flat for a teenager or perhaps some where to house your parents, it is simply not suitable for holiday accommodation unless its lack of basic amenities is highlighted in the listings . Whilst it is more spacious than a similar priced motel it lacks many basics that would be deemed basic by most. There is no TV, no radio, no clock. For cooking only a disgusting looking 2 plate portable electric range. However there is an expensive Delonghi electric air fryer, that no one seems to have ever used, There were no basic kitchen utensils like can opener , egg turner although there were adequate plates cups etc. The fridge is a huge masterpiece you could hide 2 dead bodies in if you had to. A complete overkill given a 90 litre bar fridge would suffice. During our stay we could not get the sliding door to lock, the owner could only say and I quote “ no worry, New Zealand very safe “, yeah right. There is no curtain for the front sliding door and window but the tracks are there so who knows where the curtain is, on more than one occasion we caught the neighbours who overlook , peering into our living area.
In conclusion I would not stay here again and am disappointed booking sites are now including bits of peoples houses without first checking out the suita
