Property was great. They have beach chairs and sandcastle toys. The breakfast was better than any other hotel breakfast including fresh cut fruits and different breads. Pool and hot tub were great. Location perfect for a beach pool day. Hotel was very busy! Rooms a bit outdated and small bathroom

In general, we were very content with our 3 day stay at Avila Lighthouse Suites. Only one issue was bugging us. We had an ocean front room on the second floor in the eastern part of the hotel. The swings at the beach right in front of our room makes a terrible creaking noise, which made the balcony unusable from 10am until sunset, where the swings were in constant use. Please get this fixed.

Beat the traffic and parking nightmare by just staying here. Right across the street from the beach and super easy to access. Wish I got to enjoy the hut tub but it was filled with kids and for an adults only trip I skipped that part. It was Mother’s Day weekend I will add lol. The breakfast was good, the property is nice, the rooms are big, I enjoyed my stay

The room was quite nice, unfortunately the walls are not soundproof at all. Throughout the night about every 15 minutes what sounded like a motor probably an air conditioning unit would kick on lasted 3-4 minutes, repeat. Unfortunately for us there were children upstairs, heavy feet and running throughout. Property was clean and well maintained, very nice.

This is such a great spot in Avila Beach. I’m a local and I took a vacation here about 20 years ago with my family and I remembered it being such a great trip and having so much fun and thinking it was a nice hotel and returning as an adult now 20 years later it was even better than I remembered. Really nice spot! My only reason for giving 4 stars regarding the facilities conditions was because the spa was quite sandy and murky, but we are right across from the beach and there are a lot of families with young kids that stay at this hotel, so do with that what you will. They had a dj though when we were there and live music another night at the pool area so that was awesome. Highly recommend and will be back!!

This was our second time staying here and loved it each time. It’s located directly across the street of the beach and restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. Clean. Hot breakfast is included. It’s the perfect place for a family get away.

Spring Break Fun

Had a great stay in Avila Beach at The Lighthouse Suites. Our room was generously sized and the location directly across from the beach and adjacent to shopping and dining was perfect. Will definitely be back next year!

Spring Break in Avila

Great stay at Avila Lighthouse Suites. It was a first time staying in the area. Beautiful views and beach without being overly crowded, and close to Pismo and downtown San Luis Obispo. Free Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and was really great, freshly cut fruit, hot items, and the other basic continental fare. Overall we would stay here again!
