"I have stayed at this Motel several times over the last few years. It is always very clean, comfortable, price is reasonable, owners always very polite. Sometimes my dog is with me; this was the 1st time I was charged to have the dog but it was only $10 so guess that's all right. I'm sure I will be back again."

"This is very unique property. The pictures seem like you are camping alone, but they are all together in a compound. We stayed in the Safari tent and LOVED IT! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable of their family land. We want to come back and spend more time and cook in the community kitchen. Very peaceful & a great place for friends and family to camp together but also have their own space. Highly recommend! Thank you for a great night Will & Austyn."

"It’s a good and easy spot to stay in. The fridge looked clean but the smell that came from it when you opened it was wretched! It smelled of rotten shrimp and was so bad we could not use it. If you opened it for just a second it would stink up the whole place. "

"We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this location again! The house is updated, clean, near the lake, and just a short easy drive to Jefferson. We saw lots of deer, blue jays, and cardinals, and the area is very quiet and serene. Highly recommend this cozy retreat in the woods!"

"All I can say is WOW! Frank and Linda are absolutely great folks and the view from the back porch was beautiful! Linda was so thoughtful and had baked muffins, cookies, and an anniversary package for us! Btw her baking skills are level 10! I very much enjoyed visiting with Frank at our check in. The proposer was PEACEFUL exactly what we were looking for. We will 100% be making a return visit to this gem in east texas. "

"We enjoyed our stay. Pleasantly surprised at all the spices and kitchen ware available to us, as well as shampoo/conditioner and soaps. Second bedroom with full size bed left no room for a dresser or closet, although there were a couple of hanging hooks. The second bathroom is downstairs (must go outside of house, down stairs and into garage to get to it). We saw bald eagles, crows, doe and fawn while we were there. Beautiful lake view!!"
