"Overall a good stay. The staff were great and we enjoyed a coffee and cake in the bar. However, a little disappointed that my 12 year old son wasn't allowed to use the whirlpool. Would have been useful to know this when booking - couldnt see it on the website."

"Wonderful staff, super helpful. Food was amazing! Only little niggles was the shower head was a little grubby in our room and the road can be noisy if you’re not a heavy sleeper like myself. Beautiful place and wonderful if you like to have long walks up and around the Manor House behind the hotel. "

"I took my husband here for a night away for his birthday. The hotel is beautiful, very special with amazing rooms to explore and sit by one of the many fireplaces with a drink. We were allocated a room in the coach house which is closer to the spa but not part of the main building. The room was like staying in my grandmas house, clean but very old fashioned. "The property is not located where advertised. It claims to be 1 minute away from the waterside theatre and therefore not far from the train station. This was very important to me and my wife who were travelling with several heavy bags and needed to be very close to both and this is the exact reason we booked it. However, it turns out it’s around 25 minute walk away from the theatre! As a result, we had to take a couple of Ubers back and forth and thought it only fair the host covers the cost...

"Beautiful property, really clean and perfect little breakfast in the fridge in room. Lovely texts from Arden to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything. Rooms would benefit from some black out curtains to complement the lovely blinds, however there was a sleep/eye mask provided which was appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, felt very comfortable and safe as a single female traveler."

"It was more comfortable than I taught. For the price of each night, it exceeded it. A walking distance to the train station. It’s clean, easy to locate. Direction on how to access the building was clear. The room was sizeable, although it a shred bath and toilet, they were clean. I will recommend if you are staying a night or two."
