"Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area. "

"Hotel was the best we have stayed at so far. It was quiet. Close by bursa doughnuts and mora bakery. A walk away from tip top coffee and the train history site. We had an amazing time!"

"Room was very spacious and clean. Fridge amd microwave in room, washer and dryer on site for small fee. Breakfast was typical for free continental bagels, muffins, cereal, biscuits and gravy etc. Staff was very friendly! There is a gas station directly across the street with a subway of you sont feel like driving into Davis. It is only a short drive into town and to Blackwater falls:)"

"I loved the quiet during March when we stayed. The front office staff were amazing! The fireplace was awesome too! The only “issue” was the remote control wasn’t working right. I’ll definitely go back"

"Two couples for a few days in Davis and a great stay at a fantastic property! The space was perfect for the four of us. We cooked most meals in and the kitchen was well equipped. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck for cocktails and using the hot tub when the weather was cooler. The fireplace inside made for cozy movie watching nights. You can tell a lot of care has gone into this property and we appreciated staying there. Would highly recommend!!"

"Great central location to food, art and entertainment in Thomas. Cool shops and close to good hikes at Blackwater, Canaan . Xcountry skiing at Whitegrass was outstanding! Also pretty close to Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods and a bunch of wild country. "

"My kids and I had a great time. It was quiet, breakfast every morning, housekeeping services every day. The staff was nice and friendly. There were no bugs anywhere. It’s right beside a grocery store and a steakhouse, which has excellent food! "
