We took walks to the nearby beach escorted by their dogs, we cooked and reconnected by the wood stoves, and we visited friendly towns nearby. We are grateful for the care and hospitality of our hosts who went over and above to help us properly celebrate the end of a hard year. We hope to go back!"

"The property is just 7 mins walk into Kinsale and it's clean, warm and has most things you could need during a short stay. The town is full of great places to eat and drink. Already planning to return"

"Two grandparents, two parents and two children . The stairs were a littl tricky w no rail but the ability to close the downstairs and easily child friendly was perfect. We had everything we needed. There was confusion re high chair but woman on site manager got one the next day. Would definitely go back"

"My husband and I and 1 and 5 year old stayed with 2 other families. This house was fantastic. The top bedroom is great and there was a space on the landing outside for the cot. "The apartment was in a great location, right on the waterfront a few minutes walk to the centre of village and great restaurants. It is spacious with all the necessities. We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms as there were only 4 of us, but all beds were made up to be slept in with very comfortable bed linen. "

Wonderful stay at Ocean’s End

"We had a great time over Christmas! Deirdre and John are wonderful hosts and their beautiful house offered us more comforts than we anticipated. We took walks to the nearby beach escorted by their dogs, we cooked and reconnected by the wood stoves, and we visited friendly towns nearby. We are grateful for the care and hospitality of our hosts who went over and above to help us properly celebrate the end of a hard year. We hope to go back!"

"Recently returned back from Kinsale. I like to write reviews that help people pick a hotel!! Trip was with my husband and father with Alzheimer’s. After coming from Dingle the Trident is more “hotel” like but lovely just the same. Best parts were the great staff at breakfast. Very kind and chatty. Loved them! Breakfast was delicious! This hotel is walking distance to downtown Kinsale but not close enough that my dad could walk by himself of course. We asked for a room next to him and he was put 2 doors down which was fine. The hotel dinner was decent but desserts were better! Keep in mind this hotel hosts many Christmas parties and work functions so it can be loud and bustling. Great harbor view from our room. We watched a driving rain from our window which was fun! Bar was very quaint for the evening after the dinner rush. Overall I would recommend but next time we will try a hotel a bit smaller to capture a more quaint feel. Robin ;)"
