We had a wonderful stay at Dunmore House. Carol and her team are so friendly and the hotel well looked after. It’s in a stunning coastal setting, so an ideal place to relax and/or explore the surrounds. We loved nearby Duneen Strand.

We really liked the Dunmore House Hotel. Lovely setting off the beaten path. Staff helped us find lovely beaches east of the hotel. We also visited the Famine Museum, a worthwhile stop to educate us about the horrible famine of the 1840s. We had seen the Dombeg Circle, a highlight of our travels, on the day traveling to the Dunmore.

Exceptional service, nicely-appointed rooms, and excellent breakfast and dinner fare. The grounds are also lovely, with a walk down to a cove. Note that the hotel is on the opposite side of the inlet from Inchydoney Beach, but there is a small beach 0.8 mi down the road. Highly recommended (and far preferable to staying in town, we thought).

Wonderful position overlooking Clonakilty Bay. Cheerful and helpful receptionist on arrival. Rather distracted and uninterested receptionist on departure. Nice room, but a bit warm as no air conditioning. Good bar dinner and very nice grilled plaice with a poached egg for breakfast.

This property is in the middle of nowhere but right on the ocean. Our room had a partial view. Doesn’t seem that the hotels have air conditioning. Our room was right over the bar so it took some time to deal with the noise to get to sleep

Lovely place overlooking the ocean. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Rooms well appointed with comfortable beds, and bathroom was newly renovated. Our room overlooked the ocean so we had the would have waves to lull us to sleep. Breakfast was delicious with healthy choices. Service excellent. We will most definitely return.
