The Belvedere is a lovely place to stay. Exceptional for the price and I’m not sure you’ll find anywhere as nice for what you pay. The room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The €10 breakfast was excellent. There are buses into the city centre from right outside the door. There is also a drive-in place to eat with Papa Johns, SuperMacs and Bewleys 50 yards down the road. Next to this is a petrol station where you can pick up necessities and this also has an off licence. I’d thoroughly recommend staying here.

Beautiful old mansion turned into a hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Lovely Lithuanian lady managing the place was very nice and helpful and served a terrific breakfast. A pleasant night halt on our trip.

This is a marvellous place! A large old mansion type house with modern rooms, and pleasant courtyard garden. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfasts are superb.

It was really inexpensive and very convenient — located just outside the city center of Cork. I needed a location near the hospital as my traveling companion wound up needing hospitalization, and I was on my own for a few days. I didn’t need a fancy hotel, nor did I want to blow money on a pricey room. Belvedere Lodge is more of Boarding room environment…rooms are clean and had reasonable rooms (extra chair or two for lounging or reading). The bathroom was much nicer than I anticipated…clearly it has been updated and a nice hot shower with reasonable water pressure was a huge saving grace. The door did not have extra locks on it or way for you bolt the door once you were inside, but it locked and I was never bothered by anyone. Lots of international folks where staying, so it was a great atmosphere for meeting people in the breakfast room. I would absolutely return! Just don’t expect anything fussy…it was clean, I was comfortable in my bed, and it was quiet…so I slept very well. Staff was helpful and polite. I was delighted to find that within one block of the lodge, there was a gas station with Revolution laundry machines and they were in fantastic working order. There was also a SuperMax and 2 gas stations, so kit was easy to pop some laundry in and grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat while waiting.

The location is perfect! The bus stop is right outside the driveway and the bus takes you directly to the train station and St. Patrick's street. Also, the breakfast is fantastic!

A nice option a 15 minute bus ride (or €12 cab fare) outside of downtown Cork. Clean room, lots of space (sitting room was nice), and good Irish breakfast made for a pleasant stay. Loved the comforter/duvet on the bed.

Old fashioned bed and breakfast. My first time in Ireland and I hadn’t had a traditional Irish breakfast. The chef said “you better have one before you leave.” Not disappointed one bit!

A little outside of town on a busy road. But the hotel is immaculate and our rear-facing room was quiet enough. Cork itself is a transitional town—would not recommend sightseeing there. But we were really just passing through. Nice staff, comfortable room.

Lovely older lodge, would be a 3 star in the Loire Valley. Generous breakfast, beautiful garden, easy walk to downtown, convenient for the airport. Staff are efficient, but not overly chutty (they seemed very busy - perhaps short staffed?). I would stay here again!
