"We loved the idea of staying in a castle and that in itself was magical. We stayed in the Cromwell Suite which is big. The kids loved the extra room to roam. The high ceiling in the living/2nd bed area was nice and contributed to the majestic feel.There were however a few things that could have been better. "A very friendly welcome, family room was clean and tidy and nice & warm. Excellent pub food - definitely worth pre-booking a table as gets very busy. Breakfast was excellent too. Great service, lovely place from which to explore. Would happily stay again!"

"We loved our stay here. The cottage has loads of quirky architectural features. It's remote enough to see the stars in the hot tub on a clear night, but has a lot of towns and villages around to drive to for days out, plus local walks which were detailed in the welcome book. We mostly stayed cocooned in the cottage as it's so warm and snug. The cottage is situated in a working horse riding stable so during the day people are coming and going in front of the cottage as they arrive and depart, so...
