Perfect location

This place is in the perfect central location to access everything fun in the NC Mountains in that area. It gave you a perfect view of Grandfather Mountain from each window and the home itself was adorable.

Loved it!

We loved the property! The master bedroom was great for parents with small kids. Plenty of room. The futon worked great for our three year old grandson. We had a huge deer come right up to the bedroom window one evening. Would definitely come back!!

Family and I had a great vacation!!! Everything was was very nice and was across the street from police dept so that was good as well. The view and house was very nice and quiet. Had a great stay! Will do again 🙂

Long weekend getaway

The location was perfect. Close to Boone, Banner Elk, Beech Mtn, Grandfather Mountain, the Parkway. House is clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Even had dog dishes. We would stay here again. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place, perfect location

Had a great ski trip with sightseeing mixed in. This spacious location had beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain, a walking trail perfect for the pup right across the street, and had convenient accessto Boone,Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Property owners had a sweet welcome basket for us (the kids devoured the M&Ms) and were great communicators! Had a great experience!

The space was perfect for the three of us and our dog - it is quite spacious with a big master bedroom, comfortable and nice furniture and fixtures, and beautiful view from the porch. Well stocked with anything we needed.

Gorgeous mountain views

If you are looking for a place with a view…this is it. Plenty of room for our group of 5. The kitchen and family area are spacious with a view deck. The Seven Devils area and having the property right off the main road made it the perfect location to visit the entire Boone/Banner Elk/ Grandfather Mountain area.

A lovely weekend in the mountains

The house was easy to find and get checked in. We were welcomed with a a beautiful view of grandfather mountain. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of hot water for 5 people. It was a great location to get to Boone, Blowing Rock, and good hiking. All around 5 stars.

Banner Elk Retreat stay for our Anniversary

We truly loved our stay at the Banner Elk Retreat. We enjoyed sipping wine on the deck in the evening and seeing the beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain. The home was nicely decorated, very roomy, and stocked with everything we needed. We also received a nice complimentary gift basket with some goodies in it. The retreat was in a wonderful location that was very close to many restaurants, hiking, beautiful sites, and more. Would definitely love to rent again in the future.

The location was great, it was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do and still had a mountain view. The host left us a bunch of nice goodies and were very welcoming. George was very quick to respond when we reached out. The only downfalls were we did have to first sweep when we came in because the floors were a bit dirty and sandy. We did hear creaking of the floors often above us, which woke us up. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Great apartment close to everything!

We stayed at the apartment for a long weekend in the mountains. The place was well taken care of and perfect access to everything. It was a short drive to Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Alpine Coaster, Boone, and Blowing Rock. The driveway was easily accessible as was the house from the main highway. The kitchen was well stocked, couches were comfy, beds were comfy and the laundry was a huge plus. And the view was gorgeous. It was exactly what we needed for my family of 4. It is possible to hear the owners in their home upstairs so if you’re a very light sleeper it may be an issue. But we are not, so we slept perfectly well. We would definitely stay again when we visit the mountains!

Grandfather fabulous

House was clean and easy access to Sugar mtn, Beech Mtn and Boone. Hawks nest snow tubing is also very close and the boys loved that. The view of grandfather mountain was so beautiful. I felt the kitchen could have been better stocked with cooking utensils and other items like a regular toaster. The toaster oven only toasted on one side so you have to reach in and flip the bread. Also better quality paper products. The owners live upstairs and were very nice when we did see them to fix a TV issue which they did right away. Overall good e would return to this location and this specific house.
