Extra pillows and blankets in the closet in case you should need them; coffee and tea making facilities in the room would also be nice. "Horrible just horrible. No checkin instructions. No staff on site. Everything closed on arrival. Emergency number did not answer. Its not in barbare at all. 20 minutes drive iver the nointains and then diwn a track past back yards to find it. 8pm they responded go to another hotel to collect key. Real disaster, avoid."

"Madreselva was so lovely I wanted to move in!! It’s rustic but comfortable. The rooms are set around a central patio with tables chairs and sofas, and filled with tropical plants which give a cool ambience at any time of day. The staff are all lovely (special thanks to Alba who quickly responded to queries before and during our stay). Even the other guests were pleasant and friendly. We’ll definitely be back, next time for longer. "
