"We located the property after a change in date for a Archery tournament and the original booking could not be altered and so glad we did. Its a beautiful setting and very secure with the kit we were traveling with. We were greeted by the owners who made us fee extremely welcome. The property was very clean and ready earlier than stated. "I you want to be out and about every day in beautiful scenery and then have an awesome base to relax then look no further. Stunning views out of every window and 2 large secure paddocks that you can let your 4 legged friend enjoy with no fear of them getting out. The hardest thing is convincing the dog to come inside and join you in the evening."

The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. "Close to the M6 The Moat House makes for a lovely staging post. Restaurant specialises in steaks. It’s stylish and popular with locals so booking is important. The hotel is an upgraded historical lodge and has stylish decor throughout. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only mild disappointment was the breakfast was a bit small. Overall strongly recommended."

Busy but quiet

"Busy hotel but extremely quiet room. Usually you hear the corridor door slam every time someone passes through, or their footsteps on the floor. The room we had was silent! We couldn’t hear people or cars at all. We had the Superior King room and it was so lovely and spacious. The breakfast was great too!"

Like home from home and the good old days

"What an excellent place i will be returning and staying in these quaint but rustic and beautiful hotel. The rooms were bigger than an average size, the bar and restaurant was wonderful sitting next to a slow burning fire just like the good old days as a child. Food was exceptional the staff were second to none and couldn’t do enouh for you. Breakfasts were plentyful and hot."
