And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay. Before arriving we were told the hot water heater needed a part that wouldn't be available for 3 days. We were even offered another rental to use instead, but it wasn't right downtown...

Hot tub and fire pit were a perfect spot for relaxing on the cooler nights. Iron Rail Pub was great for food and the locals were super nice. Great hotel and great location!

"I had planned for one night, then changed plans at the last minute because of weather. They were happy to accommodate an extra night. The young woman at check in was friendly and efficient. When I asked for a microwave for the room, they happily supplied one. The room was clean and comfy. I walked into town (very close!) for some fun Christmas shopping. I also happened upon a trail head at the end of a street and enjoyed a little hike up the mountain for a nice view. The Trapp Family restaurant and coffeehouse was a short drive away. Loved my visit in beautiful Stowe! Thanks to Stowe Village Inn for wonderful accommodations! "
