The grocery store in the little town of Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne has everything you can wish for, even a nice Fish Department. Check in process was all handled remotely and as such, it was slightly confusing to gain access to the building, but we managed in the end. "Very spacious and clean property with plenty of space to stay with 2 other couples. There’s one toilet, but two bathrooms with showers, which wasn’t expected but worked fine for our group. The location is really great - excellent view of the city and river from the living space and very walkable to city center attractions like food, bars, etc. Parking was a breeze as well for driving to attractions outside of Macon. Appartement bien situé, cuisine commune tres fonctionnelle. "Domaine Lachat is a beautiful, family-run winery, farm and gites. We loved staying here, right in the heart of the Beaujolais Crus and at the same time, completely remote. Our gite was the perfect size for two people, with plenty of space. Recently renovated, it is a welcoming, clean and comfortable place to stay. Additionally, we really appreciated the pool area and outdoor kitchen. Anne and Thijs are excellent hosts who go above and beyond for their guests."

"Our host was very helpful even making last-minute reservations at a 5 Star restaurant. This is a country home with all the charm. We had all the basic needs and it is a short drive to stores and restaurants. There are some steps to get to the bedrooms. Soap and Shampoo are bring your own. All linens and towels were provided as was a fully functioning Kitchen. If you need ice for cocktails buy it before you check in. Highly recommend if touring in this Wine region."
