Great Rental, Privet, with comfortable outdoor spaces.
Home is very well maintained, and as advertised, But be warned the bath room is VERY SMALL! and really not adequate for the home. It is barely a 1/2 bath with a 2'X2' shower, 12" sink . that said the place is nice clean and semi-privet. We did have a late-night visit form someone riding around the house at 10pm on a 4X4 shining its lights in the windows.

Such a cozy & private cabin
Rustic & private, this cabin exceeded our expectations. Dog friendly with a hot tub are two of our requirements, but this property was so much more than we thought. The back deck was a great outdoor area for relaxing & it even included a deck upstairs outside the loft bedroom. Everything was stocked and clean (the staff did a great job readying it for us) & the hot tub was serviced hours after checking in. It was a nice little spa that was enjoyed by all throughout our visit.

Beautifully secluded.
It’s a neat log cabin. Great huge property. The only thing we really had issues with were some general safety issues that we brought up to management. They ensured they would get it handled.

Small
This cabin is small. If you are looking to relax it might not be the place for you! The bed is the hardest I have slept in across the United States. I slept maybe 4 hours in two days. Couches are old and not comfortable. The shower is super small. I hit my arms on the side with every move made. The kitchen was the only good-sized area in the cabin. I'm hard-pressed to believe the cabin is in Sunriver. It's not what you would expect in a stay in Sunriver, on the bad side. Price should be $75 - $99 a night. Do not pay more.

Mixed review
Hello! We loved the cabin, location and the level of support received from Vacasa. Unfortunately, there were some issues I want to share so Vacasa is aware and future renters are prepared. Upon arriving, I went to the gate and the lockbox wouldn’t open with the code; so here was my first call to Vacasa support. They were helpful and discovered I was given the incorrect code so they gave me the correct one and in the gate we went. Next, I tried the code, and key, for the front door and it wouldn’t open; my second call to Vacasa. This representative ended up sending me to another lockbox for a different key. That key worked. Here is where renters need to be prepared. While trying to get into the house, I was swarmed by mosquitoes to the level I have never seen before. Over the next couple of days, we were having to spray our clothes to just go outside. My dog wouldn’t even go outside after the first day. Tough since I couldn’t spray him with Deet. I looked for the mosquito breeding ground but was unsuccessful. My goal is to never call support while on vacation, but I already had two calls under my belt and, sadly, had to make a third. I spent a good 30 minutes following the cable steps in the welcome book, but couldn’t get it to work, so I finally called support for help. Turns out this cabin doesn’t have cable, but the book has the instructions on how to turn it on. My recommendation to Vacasa, is to customize the book for each property or at least give renters a heads up somehow. I even looked for the dishwasher listed in the checkout process, but there isn’t one in this cabin. Because of the great cabin and Vacasa support, I would rent here again once the mosquitoes are a bit under control.

Very Rustic & Managed by Agency
Rustic is what we were going for so that's great, and there are a few things this place could use to be worth the price, such as a light over the kitchen sink and some basic supplies like all purpose cleaner for counters. It would also be nice if there was some art on the walls. The place was clean and comfortable enough. Bed was super comfy. There is one bathroom with one teeny tiny shower. The hot tub is in the back and the deck is tiny compared to the photo, but that's fine with me as I don't want that far of a walk in the freezing weather between the house & hot tub. The property is large and sparsely wooded, and at a corner so you almost feel you're out in the woods rather than a neighborhood. One reason we selected this place is it said it allowed multiple dogs. Apparently that changed between booking and our trip, and there was quite a hassle to add a second dog. I called to pay the nightly fee and was told the listing only said 1 dog was allowed and there were no notes about any changes. I spent a very frustrating hour trying to email Vacasa screenshots of the listing that showed 4 dogs max before they finally got a supervisor on the phone with me who explained their emails were backed up 3 days (whatever that means and why didn't the agent know that if so?) and gave me her cell number so I could text her photos. In the end they honored it, and allowed the dog, but still charged me for one of the two nights of dog fees, plus tax. Personally I would have waived the fees after such a hassle. I've had issues from renting through an agency before, such as the access code not working and nobody I could get a hold of could get a hold of anyone who could resolve the issue, meanwhile I'm standing out in the cold because there's no cell reception in the parking garage. I will count renting directly from the owner highly among other attributes when selecting homes in the future!

Pros + Cons
Usually, we start with the pros, but we’re definitely going to start with the cons. Cons - check in instructions were a bit confusing. It told us we needed a code for the gate, which we didn’t, so it just started from there. There was dog poop everywhere. Dishes weren’t clean (there’s no dishwasher, but there were crusted food specs on all of them. Then, there’s this secondary living space behind the house that isn’t mentioned in the listing or in pictures. Does someone live there? Should we be expecting other guests to share the space with? Like, just let us know! The bathroom is TINY and there’s no where to stash stuff, including a towel. There aren’t blinds on a bunch of the windows, so that made the stay much less private. Though this property was at the back of the property, there are still neighbors. There’s also a RV parked on an adjacent property that was directly next to the hot tub, and was a bit uncomfortable to use. The hot tub was murky and disgusting. Then, we had been at the property an hour when an unmarked service vehicle pulled up and drained the hot tub. So though we were grateful for being able to use the hot tub during the trip, we couldn’t our first night and the unexpected service man was shocking and scary. The hot tub jets also would go on and off at will. Oh, and the fire starter stick was out of propane. There were three keys left for us, and no explanation to what they were to. Pros - inside the house was nice and rustic. We just wanted a quiet cabin getaway and this served well for that. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, after I washed everything to ensure it was clean. The hot tub, after it was cleaned, was nice, but not private. Lots of blankets to cozy up with, and we enjoyed the fireplace a lot. 15 minutes to restaurants and downtown Sunriver, so bring your own entertainment. There are no bikes/bike paths. Not having to worry about scrubbing every surface was nice! Keyless entry was cool. Suggestions- add a little shelving in the bathroom above the toilet. Throw up some curtains so we can have privacy. Let your guests know about the secondary living space in the back. And keep your hot tub usable, cleaned and hot.

Cute cabin
Super cute cabin & perfect for a small family or group that wants a secluded trip. Only bad things- WISHED WE WERE TOLD AHEAD OF TIME- a TON of mosquitoes we had to buy bug spray just to get to and from our vehicle to unload and load without getting bit everywhere. - we couldn’t hangout outside for more than 5 minutes, really sucked because it was perfect weather to do so. Second notification would have been that there are extreme pot holes on the dirt road to access the house…thank goodness we drove my husbands truck & not my nice car!

Rustic Cabin in the Woods
Overall our stay was nice at this nice little cabin in a residential neighborhood, but on enough land you feel you are further out. The fact it was fenced in was an added bonus for our dogs. The cabin had a ton of charm, loved the wood fireplace, and the hot tub. The only things that could be a huge improvement would have been a dishwasher (saw many other complaints about this). There was also no cleaning supplies for the kitchen such as sanitizer spray for the countertops or stove top. And it also was unfortunate there was no bathroom in the upstairs loft area. Having to navigate to the second floor (note there is no light on the stairwell) was a bit precarious and somewhat dangerous. We would probably stay here again, but just know the limitations and to be prepared.

Unclean/ cloudy green hot tub water/ broken shower
The cabin is overall very cute and cozy. But there were problems. The hot tub was green and cloudy. And unsanitary to use. According to google you have to drain it and scrub it before it can be used again. Temps dropped into around 28 degrees and we were left no newspaper like the book said to make a fire. The hot shower nozzle was broken off when we arrived and the broken piece was by the sink? making it difficult to turn on. Plus no lighting by the shower so you showered in mostly the dark. And last the blankets on the couches were not cleaned. I took pictures of how filthy and caked with dirt they were I wouldn’t stay here again.

House was OK
The house was OK, a bit rustic. It was difficult to get warm in the AM, when it was 15 degrees outside. There was an irritating bright light on the building behind the house (the additional building isn't mentioned in the information about the house) that shined through the window coverings at night. There was a lack of instructions for the heater unit, and for the W/D (i.e., the 220 plug for the hot tub had to be disconnected and the W/D plugged in, turning the breaker off and back on between switching cords - and no indication there the plugs are [in a closet behind the W/D]). The communication with the manager, Vacasa, was spotty, especially with what appeared to be the national office. We were told by them that there was no BBQ (although a photo shows one) but there was one. We were told that wood was not provided for the touted wood-burning stove (there was). We finally were contacted by a local Vacasa rep. who was much more hopefully. We've had similar circumstances with Vacasa managed properties elsewhere. The area in this part of Oregon is beautiful and well worth visiting.

Prefect Cabin Retreat
My husband and I loved our stay here. We brought our dog and appreciated the fully fenced yard. The Kitchen was well equipped for all basic cooking needs. We got fresh snow while we were there - hot tub in the snow was nice! My tip for future guests would be to try and get to the property for the first time in the daylight. The location is very quiet area (which is so nice) - on a dirt road and very dark at night. If you're trying to be more in "town" this is probably not the place for you. We thought it was perfect and would stay again in a heartbeat! Also, I did rate host communication as 5 stars but we did not need to contact the host. Everything was clear/ user friendly.

I wouldn’t recommend this cabin
We were disappointed that the dishes in the cupboards were not clean. We trusted they were clean but had to wash dishes and utensils before using them as they were soiled with food. We purchased ingredients that needed to be chopped on the cutting board but our food ended up tasting like fish even though we weren’t having fish. My girlfriend wouldn’t eat the food after seeing all the dirty dishes we took out of the cupboard and our stay was ruined because of the time loss of extra dish and kitchen cleaning. Further disappointment set in with needing to flip the breaker and swap plugs when transitioning from using the hot tub to the washing machine. After seeing how dirty the dishes were we weren’t comfortable trusting the hot tub was clean. Getting a dishwasher would be a smart upgrade but we won’t be staying again at your properties. My girlfriend wanted to leave before our stay was over and we both agree that this is not a suitable vacation rental. Thanks Morgan
