"Stayed at the White Swan several times before and I always try to book in when in the area. It's a very homely little hotel, the staff are lovely and the cooked breakfast is an excellent way to get your day started. There's a country pub as well, which is great for a few drinks in the evening. "

"A very comfy room and the few staff we met were great. Breakfast was excellent and Heather was a gem! A bit disappointing that the hotel is closed apart from the rooms and breakfast service. It’s not that evident when you book so maybe they should make it more obvious. Parking was free in the car park 100 yds away but only for 24hrs at a time. So we parked there through the day and then moved the car to the street outside the hotel which has free parking from 17:30 to 09:00. Our only...

"We stayed one night on our way to Scotland. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Berwick upon Tweed and is located in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and check-in was simple. Our room was lovely, very big with a large en suite and a view over the gardens on the "pods". As others have commented the rooms are not totally sound proof, but we weren't bothered by the noise. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent. The food was very tasty...

"Good place for a 2 night stay. Single beds were very narrow for an adult. No towels or tea towels which would have been good. Service from the owner was brilliant...she is a very nice lady. It was a shame that the pub/restaurant has closed as you have to go in to Berwick for food. "
