"You NEED to stay here on Isla Colon. A short taxi ride into Bocas Town for nightlife but farther out of town for a restful and quiet time. Richard’s place is beautiful with garden and a relaxing pool. Right across from a sweet little restaurant and directly across from a cute little beach. Listen to the waves put you to sleep and the monkeys to wake you up. Richard is so helpful and really wants you to have a great holiday. Would definitely recommend to anybody. "

"Tropical private paradise. Beautiful rustic bungalow right on aqua waters. We came on off season and felt like we had the island to ourselves. There are kayaks to use as well. If you want more restaurants and life come in the main dry season. There is coral snorkeling nearby and an amazing indigenous guide and chef named Calypso who showed us all the local animals, sloths, monkeys, frogs, caiman and plant medicines. "We loved our immersion in nature, wellness, and excellent food and service! Gorgeous and comfortable open-air accomodations in the middle of the jungle. Our family of 3 stayed for 5 nights in the Queen Rainforest treehouse. It was a bit of a hike to get to our room (fine for us, but noting for other travelers who may have limited mobility), but WOW, what a view and cool experience. "We loved our stay at this hotel it was very beautiful. We found it a bit tough getting back to our jungle lodge at night. The mountainous terrain was difficult to climb and when we called for shuttles they did not always come quickly. If I knew the terrain I would have tried to book a pricey golf cart for the week. By the time we caught on there were none available and we had to rely on the resort for transport. Not always a great option. "

"My favorite place of the entire trip!! Great hosts and excellent chef. Soooo peaceful and very romantic in a rustic sense. The wonderful lodge-like structure is somewhat secluded on an island near Bocas Del Toro, It is only accessible by boat and most tours will pick you up at their dock. The English-speaking owner can help arrange this. They have a sweet dog that bonds quickly to guests, but is not intrusive. Love this place!!!"

"Our family had a wonderful 5 night stay here! We booked a over the water bungalow and it provided a beautiful every day. The staff were great! Alejandro helped us find a sloth that was in the forest behind the hotel. Breakfast was always healthy and yummy. We had dinner once and it was tasty too. We were able to swim from our bungalow, the water was about waist deep, and even kayaked around the hotel. "The location was just far enough away from the busy Bocas Town it made it feel like we were on our own private island. Attractive rooms with the best view and an overall inviting aura. The thing that made this an 11/10 is the food and food service. Every meal was amazing and served with a friendly smile. The lounge chairs on the deck made it hard to leave this serine location."

"Wonderful property. We were able to dive in the water right outside our door off the deck. Mandy and PJ are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was awesome. Food nearby was awesome. The only knock I would have is that across the channel, the clubs in Bocas Town are loud until 2 AM. Fortunately, Mandy and PJ provide white noise sound bars in the room. We would definitely come back!"

"Absolutely wonderful resort in the middle of nature. The architecture of the place does not disturb the original jungle. The distribution of each room, house, and lodge is so well done that you feel alone in the jungle. The beaches and common areas are beautiful, and the staff is very kind and attentive. Additionally, the supermarket inside the resort offers a great variety, reasonable prices, and everything you need to cook your meal if you rent one of the houses. Excellent choice for a different vacation with the family. "

"It was awesome from the minute I arrived. Family owned business that went out of their way to ensure every detail was covered. Helped book excursions, gave suggestions on things to do. The food was incredible, everything I had and I had at least 2 meals there a day was delicious. The waitresses were friendly and responsive The bartenders were all so much fun with great personalities. Gave average rating on noise but learned turn AC on and that drowned it out. "

Hilltop Jungle Cabin with Expansive Ocean Views and Steps from The Beach

"Words can’t express how much I enjoyed staying in this house. If you love nature, you will love it!!! The house is extremely spacious, we are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, and everyone had enough space, kids even had their own balcony and little mini snack fridges next to their beds. We saw howler monkeys and parrots everyday. One day we saw a toucan, and even a sloth cruised by. No need to pay for a nature tour, everything we wanted to see was right outside the balcony. We stayed in other places in Boca that were musty, the open air feature of this home keeps everything mould free, and the breeze coming through kept the place the perfect temperature. We were there in Jan, and never felt the need for air con, the fans were all that was needed. There are folding walls that roll out if you want more privacy. Katharine, our host was amazing! She met us at the property when we arrived, and was available with helpful local insight and recommendations. Showering under the stars, multiple places to sit, hammocks. Large kitchen. The bird sounds from the surrounding jungle were amazing. You can walk to surf and restaurants. "

Great hotel, location and staff

"A most enjoyable 9-day stay in this historic hotel right in the centre of Bocas Town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good and varied, and the restaurant very good too. Given the historic nature of the building, the rooms don't have much drawer storage, but we did have a refrigerator and a good sized ocean-facing balcony. Highly recommended. "
