"We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the bus station. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and spoke good English. The rooms seemed to have been recently upgraded. The room was very clean and adequate. None of the bed side reading lights worked. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Adjacent to the hotel is a large tea factory which operates 24/7 and was quite noisy. Opposite the hotel is a large gravel / aggregate business which is not a very attractive...

"Nice welcome when I arrived from the guys on reception. The room was large and very clean, with all the amenities in the room that you do not often see in hotels in Turkey. The room was cleaned every day and each time I passed reception they always smiled and spoke."

"The property and staff were excellent. Breakfast was great (and complimentary). I rented a king suite and it had a small kitchen, but I wish there was more provided in the kitchen such as dish soap, a sponge, a knife, more cookware etc. the bathroom was great, there was a washer but no dryer so we weren’t able to do our laundry due to the winter conditions outside. "Initial reception was not good: no one greeted us at the door to help with our luggage and explain parking, front desk staff was not friendly, the lobby was dimly light and uninviting. Nice room but needs renovation: stained carpet, flat screen remote control didn't work, air conditioning didn't work, water damage in bathroom. Lovely dinner and good service. Lovely breakfast. "We loved our stay in Rize. Its quieter than other areas of Turkey, so you can mingle with locals more. Beautiful scenery anyway you drive. I think hiring a car allows you to really explore the area. Lots of activities from History, sports or just relaxing by lakes in lush green areas. We stayed 5 days need to return to explore some more. The hotel was an excellent place to explore from. Good breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed the swimming and spa. Wonderful relaxing break. "
