"The hotel is a great value. Sadly, it was underused over the Christmas holiday. The facility and staff were all top notch. Located 10 miles closer to Rapid City, they could charge double or triple their rate. It is located right on I-90 and so it was quick trip into town. I had a queen suite which included a sofa, chair, end table, lamp, microwave, mini fridge, sink, tv, luggage rack and closet in one area. Then double sinks with mirror and hair dryer and a separate room toilet and shower. Then came the queen bed with a work table and chair and a larger TV. All for a jaw dropping low price. Over my four night stay, every staff member I encountered looked me in the eye and said hello or Merry Christmas. On my arrival, there was a problem with the electronic lock on my door, so I was immediately switched to a different room and given an apology. The included breakfast had a waffle maker, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, apples, hot and cold cereal, mini muffins, juices, coffee, and a TV in a nice sized separate room near the front desk and with a pool view. However the pool was closed awaiting a new pump. So call ahead when you book if that's important to you. There is very little retail in the immediate area. Across the street there is a gas station, supermarket, and Pizza Hut. Next door there is a convenience/liquor store and around the corner a Dollar General. I hope the residents of this small town recommend this hotel to their friends to keep it afloat."
