"It's a lovely place to have a nice relaxing time with lots of walks in Ashdown forest. Also the breakfast and dinner were very tasty and enjoyable aith a very polite and kind staff. Will go there again soon. "

"Old English Pub and Inn, clean and well kept. The food was great and the rooms clean. We stayed the week and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. Just what you'd imagine a village Pub should be! So happy to have found The Swan, we'll be back to stay again! "

"Two night stay mid week. The upstairs room in the courtyard was lovely with lots of space and very clean. Beautiful bathroom with bath and wet room style shower. Very peaceful location. Simple but tasty continental breakfast. Fascinating property - old coaching house with modern decor inspired by India and rock music. Has shop of Indian crafts and an art gallery selling Roger Dean and others. We did not experience this but there is live music regularly at weekends and wedding bookings are available."
"We were looking for a home away from home for a month and we certainly found it. Hosts were great, communicative and made us feel very welcome. The location was perfect offering a quiet stay but near to pubs, villages and walks.The accommodation was first class offering everything we needed during our stay. Spotlessly clean on arrival and high quality fixtures and furnishings. We have stayed in many holiday homes all over the world and this has to be one of the best.We would not hesitate to recommend and will be back.Thanks Eddie and Sophie for a first class and memorable stay. "We spend a wonderful week in the well appointed White Rose Cottage. Our hosts Paul and Caroline were lovely and the cottage was well equipped for self catering. We enjoyed the most lovely views of the grounds and it’s a fabulous location for touring around Sussex and neighbouring counties. The local pub is a short walk away and is popular so it’s best to book a table. We would definitely return to this property if the opportunity arose in the future. "
