"We stayed in room 14 which was perfect for our family of 3 (king bed and sleeper sofa) with room to spread out at the kitchen table and armed chairs in the living room. Our patio overlooked the parking but there is so much tropical foliage you couldn’t tell. The road noise was loud at night since the sliding door was next to the bed, so we had to put on white noise sounds to buffer it a bit. Easter weekend and it was never too crowded to use the free kayaks, find a chair near the beach/dock area or the pool. What sets this place apart is Pegs Scones truck for fresh scones and coffee every morning. The staff is always around and very friendly, hope you get to meet Charlie!"

"The property is very nice, in fact gorgeous! The amenities were convenient. Had a number of meals at Calusa, and the food was exceptional, even if a bit pricey. The service there was very good! Of note is the hostess Melanie, also, waiter Lathish. can't remember names of others. (Marvin at the pool bar was fun.) Only had one meal taco tues at Dry Rocks. It was just "ok" The staff throughout the facility were pleasant, and mostly very friendly and helpful. Regarding negatives. The biggest one was at check in. We had planned to arrive around 4 pm, but due to weather, and flight rerouting we did not pull in until 1 am the next morning. Obviously, we were exhausted. The young lady at the front desk seemed very disinterested, and preoccupied even though at that time there were no other customers. We kept having to ask her to repeat, or clarify things as she often turned her head away from us while she spoke. We asked if there were any weddings planned for the week as we wanted an quiet area. She said there were not. Turned out there were 3! Fortunately the weddings did not bother us at all, and we liked the location of the room. She did not offer to get anyone to help us with are bags which would have been nice.The "bell hops" we met a couple days later said she could have gotten security to help or someone. Only other negative was housekeeping always forgot to leave something, and had to be called. Still all in a very nice place and stay! "

"Kona Kai was EXACTLY the vacation we needed. Everything was lovely,. Sunset kayaking and hot tub to follow, can’t get better than that. We loved grilling in the outdoor charcoal bbqs for dinner. Can’t wait to come visit again! "
