Art Hotel Tucholsky
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (82)
"I booked this hotel on a random trip to Bochum. The hotel is at the centre of all the tapas bars so it is great if you want to enjoy the night life. The hospitality is top noch and despite the fact that I couldn’t speak a word in German the staff were happy to speak in English (I promise I will learn the basics before the next trip). The room is unique and spacious and the double glazing helps with dampening the noise from the bars (not that it mattered to me). All in all I highly recommend this...

H+ Hotel Bochum
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (535)
"Obviously this hotel would be the best option if you booked the Starlight Express show as it's literally next door to the venue. The staff were polite, helpful, efficient, and spoke great English. Rooms were clean and functional and there is an option to book a buffet dinner for after the matinee or after the evening show. The hotel will costa bit extra than the ones further away, but it is more than worth it. Make sure you check in at least half an hour before the show as there may be queues...

"Probably one of the worst stays I had in a long time. The room was freezing due to malfunction of the AC, internet barely working, no outlet in the bathroom, phone broken and furniture dusty snd out-dated. The staff was friendly and tried their best, but I would still not come back."
