"absolutely stunning property! the pool was out of this world! there was a slight issue with the AC, but the manager addressed it with me personally and gave me a discount! i was not expecting that and genuinely appreciated it!!! thank you Filip! i will definitely be back. they had excellent recommendations as well. i had the Dough Bros pizza in Galway based on Filips recommendation and it was amazing!!! above and beyond service here, well worth the price and such cool things to see including the Torc waterfall was literally 5 minute drive away. "We were so excited for our stay here and it was a great experience start to finish! By far the nicest hotel we stayed at during our road trip around Ireland. The room with the lake view was absolutely incredible. This is a great location for visiting Killarney (very easy to drive to if you have a rental car). Even walking around the grounds is beautiful. It was relaxing & scenic. Our service at the bar at the end of the night was sub-par (slow service + a lot of dirty tables not being cleaned off). The breakfast included was top notch - high quality & great offerings - don't miss breakfast! For US-based travelers though I would caution the 5-star rating as it is a bit different than a 5 star US hotel. It was still clean & very nice with upgraded amenities vs other hotels we stayed at in Ireland, but it a bit dated."

"One of the best hotel stays we have ever had, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and that did not decline throughout our stay. The hotel itself is spectacular but its greatest asset is the staff. Polite and courteous, willing to take time to engage in conversation, from the doorman through to the cleaners, service in the restaurant and the bar second to none. I was allowed to keep my road bike in my room and the welcome pack of energy bars and supplements due to doing the Ring of Kerry Charity ride was a totally unexpected treat, that just goes to show how they make your stay personal. When we return to Killarney the Great Southern will be our hotel of choice."
