"My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay at The Lakes Hotel & Spa. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and we were pleasantly surprised with the upgrade to a room with a hot tub – a lovely touch that really made our stay feel special. The room itself was spot on – clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. We also had dinner at Mizumi, which was a real highlight. The food was excellent and full of flavour – we especially liked the sharing plates. Overall, we’d rate our stay a solid 10/10. We’ will definitely be back again in the near future. "

"We stayed for a weekend at The Ro hotel and had a lovely time. The staff are all friendly and work so hard. The hotel it's self is slightly dated in some areas but that adds to it's charm. We also used the wellness centre and would definitely recommend it. It's really clean and modern with lots to offer. The hotel is is really central to windermere, we were able to walk everywhere easily. We'd definitely stay here again."

"It was a one night stay and we were welcomed from the very beginning and given helpful information on local attractions by Mohammed at the reception. The tepidarium, sauna and steam room were excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant experience."

Nestled right in the heart of Ambleside, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Our room overlooked a gorgeous waterfall, and waking up to the soothing sound of flowing water and a view of the hills was pure magic. It felt like a peaceful, luxurious escape wrapped in nature. The Room: Wow – our room was massive! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and designed for real comfort. It had everything we needed and more. The Staff: Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. From check-in to check-out, we were made to feel at home and very well looked after. "Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"
