Excellent from beginning to end

"Check in was smooth. Room was clean and adequately equipped. Towels changed and toiletries etc replenished daily. Breakfast choice was great food excellent. We dined in on the Sunday evening after a splendid afternoon at Carlisle races, outstanding food, cooked to perfection. Special mention for Kyle behind the bar and waitering, 5⭐ service, a real asset to your establishment, polite, knew his job and was great at it too all done with a smile. Would I recommend the Cumbria hotel to fellow travelers, without hesitation. We will definitely be returning, hopefully Kyle will still be there 👍"

"I am a regular traveller to Glasgow and Preston and Manchester and living in a country area between the east and west coast of England I use Arkale lodge as a stopover for to rest and to catch my trains to my final destination the next day . Room 10 was spotless, great breakfast and a nice host as always. Comfortable nights sleep and plenty of rest during my stay and a nice Sunday night stay which was restful "

"Still the best of the Days Inn on the M6/M74 that we have stayed in. Apart from the up-to-date condition, there are TWO chairs and a CEILING light which both add hugely to the enjoyment of our stay. Dim hotel rooms are unfortunately so common these days, so thank you Days Inn Gretna for bucking the trend! An added bonus is the wider range of facilities available in the adjacent service area"
