"We had an excellent stay here. Beautiful property with plenty of space for a group of 8 of us. Including children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old. "The cottage was about a 30 minute walk from the beach but not suitable for young children as it’s all country roads. It’s about a 5 minute drive which is great! "There was black mould in bedroom 3 and in the bathroom. This meant we had to move the bed as black mould is dangerous. The fridge was off when we arrived and took a long time to chill. "This property is ideal for visiting the north and south coast of Cornwall. We stayed for 10 nights , our only problem was drying clothes. The weather wasn't very good so trying to dry anything for 8 people was difficult. Tracy was easily contactable if we had any problems. Booking in was easy. Accommodation was great for 8."

"Wonderful country house hotel in about 200 acres of stunning grounds. Lots of outdoorsy things to do. The sitting rooms are glorious with open fires and the staff are attentive and there are lots of little touches that make the hotel stand out. The food is excellent, eat in the Great Western Restaurant if you can. Breakfast excellent. "

"I enjoyed my brief stay at St Mellion’s. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was clean and tastefully decorated for the festive period. The bed was huge and the bathroom had plenty of towels and handwash/shower gel etc. Although there weren’t many gluten free options on the restaurant menu, the staff were helpful and made me a GF steak and chips which was perfectly cooked. The cooked breakfast was all GF and a very generous portion. I would definitely stay again. "
