Phenomenal Girls Weekend
The home was absolutely gorgeous with amazing views! There were 7 of us and everyone had plenty of space, we spent lots of time on the porches and playing games at the large table! Property owner responded to our questions quickly and was very informative prior to our trip! Definitely need 4x4 to get to the house, but it’s worth the bumpy, twists and turns! Suggest arriving before dark the first time! We will definitely be returning here! Worth every penny!!

Cabin was nicely secluded
The cabin was very nice with amenties as listed. Host response time is excellent. We stayed towards the end of Fall, so there was a lot of dead ladybugs everywhere and some live ones inside the house. The condition of the road to get to the cabin was seriously down played. If travelers are not used to driving on mountain roads, this road will be very scary, not to mention it will ruin your vehicle. You definitely need 4-wheel or All-wheel drive to make it up. I've lived on dirt roads for many years and they need to be scraped, filled, and maintained regularly. I'm really surprised that the property owners don’t collaborate to get the road maintained. Final word of caution is to arrive to the cabin before dark to familiarize yourselves with the road and navigate up to the house because there's no GPS signal once you enter the dirt road.

Photographer should win an award
Let me start by saying the views are amazing...5☆s The drive to the property is treacherous & in any inclement weather I would venture to say completely unsafe for anyone but a seasoned driver. I would give it -3☆s if I could. The property itself is below average, especially for the price. We have stayed in the area before and would definitely choose another property in the future. The carpet in the house is very tired and looks unclean. The photographer did an amazing job highlighting any areas that were in good repair. The kitchen is average & fairly well stocked...3 toasters came in handy for group breakfast sandwiches. The local host was amazing. She was helpful, courteous and friendly. She is definitely a keeper.

Private with STUNNING views
The privacy of this home was exactly what we were looking for. The home is roomy and cozy with plenty of places to relax inside and out. The kitchen was beautiful and cookware and dishes/intentions were abundant. Having a garage to keep the car in was a plus! The hot tub was placed perfectly facing the mountain views and was easy to use. A bit far from things, but if you shop before you go, you’ll never want to leave!

Not what we expect
Location for privacy is perfect. Really steeped road, which didn’t bother us, but 4 big potholes which made our ride much harder. Some things at the Chalet weren’t what we expected. Overall for the price we paid was super expensive for the condition we were looking to get.

Just Beautiful
The chalet is well maintained and perfect for a nice getaway. Secluded and quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Driveway was no problem with 4x4. We wanted a place that not just anyone could get to, this was it! Great for dogs too! Special thank you to the owners for being so thoughtful in remembering our son, who we mentioned was on summer leave from the Army and wanted to spend time in the mountains. The card and cake thanking him for his service was amazingly kind. Thanks Pleasant Ridge Chalet! It was perfect!

Pleasant Ridge Chalet
This trip was my daughters 30th birthday and she wanted to have a family weekend in the mountains with a pool or hot tub. We selected this property because it had mountain views and a hot tub. The day before we started our trip, we received an email stating that the hot tub was not working, and a technician was called to fix it. It was nice to be notified, but a full refund was not offered if we had chosen not to come. Had we been informed sooner, we would have cancelled and rented a different house. We later found out that the hot tub had issues for some time prior to our arrival. The views were beautiful. The main floor and the upper floor were adequate. The lower floor and the outside areas have issues: The kitchen has granite counters everywhere except for the island which has the cook top. The kitchen island has a butcher block counter which is old and worn. We were cautious about placing utensils on the counter for fear of contamination. A cabinet false panel under the oven fell off while we were there. The coffee maker in the pantry had moldy grounds and several of the pans needed to be washed prior to using. The “well equipped kitchen” included nine (9) old plastic plates. There were no baking dishes. The utensils were from the dollar store and did not include a meat tenderizer or garlic press. There was no food processor. Not what I would use at home or what I expect in a pricey rental. The grass in the back yard was over 6 inches tall. We were unable to

Amazing cabin for a girl's trip!
My friends and I recently rented this cabin for a girl's trip, and we had the most amazing time. The cabin exceeded our expectations, especially the view and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, fun getaway that wants a perfect mountain view. Plus watching some cows in the farther distance run down the hills was so adorable! The cabin was just the right size for our group. We loved the rustic yet modern decor and appreciated the amenities provided, such as the fireplace, hot tub, outdoor firepit and card games however we could have used a few more cookware items as it was limited. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well after long days of exploring the surrounding area. The location was a bit of a drive from Asheville but overall a great location. The cabin was nestled in the woods at the top of a steep drive, giving us a sense of seclusion and privacy. The only negative was the road to the cabin. You 100% need a 4WD vehicle. We arrived in the pitch black and it was difficult to find the route up to the cabin as the sign is quite small. In addition, it is a tight single lane steep dirt road that can only have a single car going up or down at the same time. Thankfully we only encountered another vehicle at the very bottom once. We enjoyed our time in the mountains, visiting local shops, breweries, restaurants, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying wine on the upper deck as the sun went down. The cabin is not too far from Blue Ridge Parkway either. Julie the cabin manager was responsive and helpful throughout the entire booking process and even provided us rapid assistance when we ran into an issue or had a question during our stay. Overall, we had an unforgettable trip, and this cabin played a big part in making it so special. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax with a fantastic view, enjoy time with people they love and still be able to venture out to explore.

Amazing and relaxing
Perfect spot to get away. Not too far from downtown Asheville to go there for brunch, but we were perfectly content to stay at the home all day and enjoy the views, kitchen, hot tub, and fireplaces. Great response time from super friendly property manager when the hot tub wasn’t heating up. We were able to fix the problem by texting through some troubleshooting. Would absolutely stay here again. Have recommended the home to family already.

Awesome Views
Very clean and views are spectacular. Kitchen was very nice and well stocked. Coffee maker and grill were great (clean). We were lucky with weather- only showered once. WiFi was good-all TV’s were good. Hot tub was ok and again the view good. It took us 20 min to drive to cabin after turning off hwy 19. Last 1/2 mile takes 5-6 min on gravel road uphill. We had a Tahoe so we sat up high. It made it fine but you need to know a little bumpy in places.

Beautiful Property, Rough Drive
Posting says that AWD is recommended but should say mandatory. We rented a FWD minivan for the cargo space and got stuck trying to go up the driveway. The driveway is not maintained at all. There were very large ruts and potholes from running rain. We ended up dropping another $600 on a AWD rental vehicle once we were down there, and we were fine after that. I understand maintaining the road likely isn't the owners responsibility, but they should be more forthcoming about it on the rental posting. The deck was splintering in several places, which isn't great for crawling kids. The kitchen is also not very well stocked for cooking for larger groups. Aside from the 15 minute drive to Burnsville, be aware that it's at least a 45 minute drive to anything noteworthy. This is more of a rental to hang around and relax at in my opinion. If your plan is to drive up the driveway a couple times and relax at the rental most of the time, this is the rental for that. If you're looking to go out an explore the Asheville area every day, I would probably look elsewhere.
