"I reported to a cleaner lady that the bathroom sink tap was defective....ie no hot water and tap moved when turned on. She said maintenance will check it out. It wasn't This was in double single room"

"Was very surprised for the price on my way they rang asked if i was arriving said yes welcome was good signing in good. The room was a twin clean modern new by looks bathroom. Lovely white cotton sheets duvet .t.v. heater so was warm. Entertainment on .breakfast full english good.only comment could do with tea tray in room .will go back highly recomend "

"Mark , his wife and team create a friendly atmosphere where nothing is too much of a problem. My only criticism would be the standard of the croissants and danish pastries. they never looked fresh and appetising, the croissants were very bready, I will let you off the fruit selection because the whole country suffers from that!!!"

"Property was ok, clean enough, but just a bit tatty. The shower curtain was yellow at the bottom with black mould around the bath. Room was also very hot. Unable to use car park as full so had to pay for parking. Glad it was only a one night stay"

"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. "Stayed in the log style cabins. Lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy. Quiet and tranquil with lovely surroundings. I was very impressed with the accommodation and grounds. There is limited parking. "Lovely clean property, the children really enjoyed the games. We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future when in the area. "
