"Wonderful property right in the middle of Oxford. Comfortable, clean and good vibe in the lobby area. Room was equipped with an espresso maker and small fridge. The only downside, if there is one, is that rooms are on the small side relative to North American standards. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Oxford."

"The hotel and staff were excellent but I would point out the food needs to be hotter. We had breakfast and some evening meals and on all occasions the food really wasn’t hot enough. Nothing wrong with the food just needs to be hot not warm "

"Great accommodation. Very interesting & feels very unique. Standard of refurb is very high. We stayed in the house of corrections. Very comfy, warm & quiet. Great staff, very friendly & alway there to help. We arrived earlier than our check in time & we were allowed in check in early which was great! Walking distance to Oxford centre, with lots of shop & lively pubs/restaurants. "

"The hotel is smack in the middle of the city and a short walk to bot the train station and the main bus terminal. Although George street has deteriorated in the last years, the hotel is across from the theatre so it is lively and feels more or less safe. Cafe on the left. Two nice pubs on the right. "
