"The hotel is a beautiful building. Full of architecture . It is very close to the town. The bed was hard but we managed to sleep. Nice and warm in the hotel. The coffee was great. We had dinner. It was a very good buffet. Breakfast good too. "

"A good experience this was our 3rd time. Lovely spa, one of the best. the food superb except the breakfast sausage a little overdone on both mornings. my only negative was the size of the room. If felt small, the bathroom was built into the room. The bed was not as wide as the one we sleep on at home. In previous rooms I have felt the size was better."

"Warm and very clean accommadation, exvellent breakfast, staff so helpful . In the room maybe some different teas (mint camomile etc ) I bring my own as I dont bring breakfast tea, but I'm just being picky. Crrtainly reccomend staying her. "

"Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay."

"I would highly recommend this accommodation option to everyone who wants to travel the peak district. The host is very welcoming and friendly. "Great service, very kind and friendly check in. The rooms are simple and you have to pay for the towels, but then again- the price of accommodation definitely justifies the payment for extras. Has a bar, open until 11pm. And it is genuinely all you need for a night stay. Also offers breakfast, full english for £9.99. And it is perfectly located for the Monsal Trail and ither walks."

"The hotel is very picturesque and characterful. The room was well appointed and decorated. You can eat downstairs in the pub and there was a good menu choice and a range of ales and lagers. Our food was very tasty. Breakfast options are limited. "

"Fantastic warm and cosy retreat in an out of the way location. Good access to walks and tourist attractions alike. Had a great 3 days and dog friendly too. "

"Great for our party of 13 as there was plenty of room for us all and the kitchen was well equipped with cooking equipment ,plates and glasses etc. Some of the rooms and areas look a bit tired and could do with an upgrade (stair carpets, walls painting and floors could be cleaner downstairs) but bathrooms clean and beds comfy. it’s also great to have the farm shop and the pub next door is great - very friendly and helpful and lovely pub meal and service."
