"What a great little spot in the center of the island. We feel like we found a hidden gem--great library lounge, the Dungeon Bar served great food, the staff was amazing. Our room was comfortable and the grounds were an opportunity for adventure."

"Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, and loved the entrance with fab staircase. Nice bar and restaurant. Good breakfast options. Cons. The room was very hot. Breakfast was ruined by music being played midway through my sitting. First of all it was loudly tested by the staff and then played consistenly so i had to leave. I think most people want a peaceful breakfast and don't wish to have loud music or listen to staff discussions. Other than that, I would recommend. "

"I have to preface this with an *. I had booked the gardener's cottage but there was some sort of booking mishap and the cottage was double booked. To their credit they gave me a room in the main house which was very nice. It was technically an up-grade and there was no charge. I would have like the solitude of the cottage, but I am not upset as I had a lovely time. You should most definitely get dinner. The food was exceptional. "We really enjoyed this cottage. It was exactly as listed. So cozy and felt like home. Our host was lively and we loved the town. We enjoyed several meals at Giltrap Pub. Mattresses are still the kind with springs which was not a great fit for our backs but the rooms and duvet covers were just great!! Nice shower and bathroom. Overall, I’d recommend this cottage to all. We were able to make several day trips East and South. Great location if your renting a car. Thanks a million."
