I have stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel on a few previous occasions over the past 15 years. I was really looking forward to returning - and as soon as I walked in I felt good about being back. And I wasn't let down in my expectations- the check in was pleasant and easy and when we got to the room we we were really impressed with the space and mountain view (first time I had tried the 'executive' room option - it was worth it) We dined at the bar restaurant that evening and the food was good, and again the staff very pleasant. Breakfast next day was busy as a coach load of departing guest seemed to be bustling to eat up quickly - but even so, the staff did a good job of keeping everyone happy and served on time. We stayed at breakfast a bit longer and enjoyed a slower breakfast and thought the food was very nice - especially the quality of the bread. We chatted to the staff a bit too - who were all very friendly. In all - I consider that for the very fair price asked for a nights stay, that the hotel provides a really very pleasant experience for staying in the area. Absolutely would plan to return some day.

Surrounding area is perfect and great natural spot. Room was clean but few odd bits which could have been better. Walls were thin but other than that great place, and breakfast.

Nice property, good location. Limited amenities and needs some TLC to update and clean the building and its infastructre. No signage at all to the rooms! Decent breakfast in the morning.

Great value for money, food was of a reasonable standard with plenty of choice. Our room was cosy but had what was required, although it was very warm and the beds a little hard. If you’re climbing then it’s fantastic.

It's a 3* was clean and comfy very friendly staff. Needs a revamp here and there. Floor boards very creaky everywhere. Could have done with a bit more choice for breakfast but again it was all yummy that was there. Hotel is massive and near everything in that area

Roon 230 on 5th October. Poky little room and the shower wasn't working. (The hot/cold valve was wobbly, loose and wouldn't switch the water from the default - about 90'C!). Called reception who said they would send someone to look at it. 30 minutes later, just before the scheduled dinner, no one had turned up. Checked out. Not at all impressed.

Lovely room, excellent food.
Just a one night stay to visit Mt Snowdon, well pleased with the hotel. This is obviously a Coaching Hotel catering for large groups. We were not part of any group, just an individual booking and were treated with a seperate dining room that served up excellent food, brilliant. The young lady on reception was very courteous and allowed us to leave our car in the car park while we visited Mt Snowdon. All round excellence.

Stayed for one night. Hotel is very convenient for llanberis and Snowdon and area. Single room was tiny though and a bit tired. Bedside loghr flashed and the bathroom fan screeched like a harpi for 5 minutes every time it was fored up with the bathroom light. Pretty much zero sound insulation so you can hear every detail of the conversations of people walking past the room. However it was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Beautiful building food was lovely. Only suggestion is to sound proof the rooms near restaurant as it was a bit noisy whilst it was open.

Too busy to relax
Hotel was extremely busy 7/9/24, room 110 was hot and stuffy, window opened onto rear courtyard, which was noisy with people talking right under the window at midnight. Restaurant was fully booked ate in the bar which was like Waterloo at rush hour. Very disappointed.

Excellent location for exploring Llanberis and nearby area. Close to start of walk up Snowdon, the steam trains, the Ceunant Mawr waterfall, Dolbadarn Castle, Padarn Country Park and the Slate museum. Good breakfast choices and the meals in the bar were all excellent but pricey. Hotel bit dated and bit of a maze finding room/lifts/stairs. Large, clean, quiet room with nice view of surrounding mountains. Very comfortable bed. Creaky floorboards! Bathroom a bit small but decent shower.
