Where to start.
We checked in and payed, then were told that the twin room that we had requested was not available. The person on reception was excellent and found us a family room with a discount for the inconvenience. So she gave us a refund which was very good. Has it was booked has B&B I asked about breakfast which started at 7:0 but as we had to be at the Papworth hospital by then we wouldn’t get any but we could have a bag to put fruit and muffins I that was ok. The room was clean sparkling white sheets and towels. The second bed was a bed settee which seemed to occupy the whole room when pulled down. I found the bedding to be very cold and didn’t warm up until two hours before we were up again.
We ate in the hotel the food wasn’t up to much it was ok but not great.
So all in all not great at all. The staff were kind and helpful. If we had have paid full price I would have been very disappointed as it was it was ok.
