"The rain was particularly heavy when we checked in and the room we booked had a small leak, so we had a downstairs river view for the first night. This first room, though large with AC, just felt dark (the windows were looking onto the lower terrace so you felt you had to shut the curtains). The shower also would not get warm. However, for the second night we were moved into an upstairs river view room, and what a difference! It was so light and airy feeling - again with AC and great space....

"Die Unterkunft besteht aus einfachen, aber sehr sauberen Holzbungalows, die inmitten der schönen Natur des Tortuguero Nationalparks liegen. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist hervorragend und auch sonst isst man sehr gut im Restaurant vor Ort (nicht ganz billig, wie überall in Costa Rica). Am Morgen wurden wir von Brüllaffen geweckt. "Lovely little place five minutes walk from the port. Great air con and nice to share the facilities next door with a great little pool and lovely breakfast. All the staff were great. The only improvement I would suggest is a fridge and coffee maker in the room, and we think someone could make some money offering a bag carrying service from the port with a cart!
