"This is an elegantly designed brand new hotel which is well laid out and convenient to the center of Puerto Viejo. We enjoyed our stay but were shocked that the hotel did not provide drinking water to its guests. When we checked in we were told the faucet water was not drinkable so we would need to buy water bottles to fill at a water filtration center in the restaurant. "The staff at the Serendipity are great. Angie picked us up at the port and walked us back early in the morning on departure day, Anna served breahfasts, lunches and dinners in the courtyard, and they all helped to arrange tours. We did the kayak tour with Wesley and found it very enjoyable and informative. Also did a walkabout with Jonathan, which was lots of fun. Tortuguero was a very worthwhile place to visit, we would come back and stay at the Serendipity again."

"Tortuga lodge was incredible if you like seeing Iguanas walking around, howler monkeys in the trees sharing their breakfast with their babies, and Toucans and Macaws flying overhead.
