"The property is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing - especially at the restaurant. The rooms are very nice, amazing outdoor shower, our only complaint would be that the bed was not very comfortable. Overall it was a great choice and would definitely recommend it. "

"Our stay at Patrick’s place was amazing! He communicated prior to our visit as we planned out activities. Greeted us with a property tour when we arrived and offered suggestions of activities for our group of 10. He booked the activities and sent us directions…made planning easy for our group. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out and enjoy the property. The property is beautiful and the daily breakfast was a favorite!!! We had the best time visiting the Arenal and La Fortuna area and hope to return to Patrick’s place! "

"Greivin & Heylin thought of everything when creating the Yarumo Lodge Rio Celeste Black Chalet! My family of 4, including 12 and 16 year old sons, had a fabulous weeklong stay at the end of June. The location was easy to find, the hosts were hospitable--welcoming us at arrival with a nice treat and overview of the property, including a resource guide for local attractions, dining, and activities. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen was stocked with all the cooking essentials to prepare meals from food we purchased at the grocery that's less than 10 minutes away. We look forward to staying here every time we travel to Bijaqua de Upala."

"Alexandra went out of her way to make me feel welcome. She made a fruit smoothie and coconut snack as a welcome treat. The Tico studio was very functional and fit the jungle environment. The bed was very comfortable and with the sound of the rain I fell asleep quickly and awoke refreshed. Honestly the best sleep and rest if the trip. Alexandra made empanadas and tea for breakfast. Totally unexpected as the description didn't indicate that breakfast was included."

"An amazing place with a super staff. They can help plan different activities around the area, and are very helpful with any request. We had a great time staying there. Monkeys and a toucan just outside our room, and we went on a jungle hike to see sloths and other creatures just 10 minutes away. They’re very committed to sustainable living and eco tourism. "

"The Villa was wonderful. The grounds were like a botanical garden. We saw wildlife, howler monkeys, toucans and numerous birds, from the patio! It's location was perfect. The proximity to adventures and local restaurants was ideal. We would definitely stay here again. "

"My wife and I loved this property. 3 adults and 2 children in our group. If you are okay with simple accommodations with great service and beautiful scenery you have to stay here. Grounds were immaculate when we arrived and we were greeted with 2 Toucans as we headed to our cabin. Tons of hummingbirds flying around. This place just felt so full of life! The hikes on the property were great. Took my 77yr old dad to the waterfall. He had no issues. We were the only ones there our first day and our family had the place to ourselves. It felt like our personal playground. Dinner and breakfast onsite was great and lots of food. Super fresh! Would highly recommend it if you're looking to be with nature! I will definitely come back!"
