4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (23)
"Good: The rooms were comfortable, clean and the bed (mattress) was good. They needed another sheet on the bed (instead of just a comforter as the top sheet). The breakfast each morning was perfect, many choices, and all great tasting. The Staff were very attentive. Bad: The shower had some type of "black worms" coming up thru the drain. I choose this location because they had internet, however internet went out each night around 10pm. "

"The property is simply stunning. It’s so charming and the staff are wonderful. It’s a 20 min walk from the Main Street in Franschoek or a few pounds in an Uber. Don’t use the recommended car service from the hotel as it was 3 x more expensive than an Uber. Out toom eas lovely with a small kitchen are and separate dressing room and bathroom with both a huge bath and a separate shower. The buffet breakfast was lovely and the views even better! "

"On our way to Melissa's we were informed that the location changed as the advertised holiday location was no longer in use. We were directed to another location in Strand that did not have a garden/swimming pool or any view. It looked like a half way completed flat with small living quarters. When we said we are unhappy, or and my family was asked to wait while an alternative arrangement was made. After 30minutes we've decided to seek other accommodation and requested our money back.
