"Brilliant location with Panoramic views Excellent service with a caring touch Congratulations to the new owners for providing a great hotel in West Wales We last had a reunion 20 years ago when the hotel was looking a little tired but now what a difference. The Restaurant and breakfast facilities and meals were very good with no delays even with a full hotel The brasserie at the hotel entrance was also excellent. Will definitely return"

"The property was very very clean, had a nice view of the sea from our bedroom. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and so so friendly. Breakfast is probably one of the best breakfast I’ve had since our stays within Barmouth. Looking forward to going in Easter with my family. Thank you all again at the Tillman."

"A lovely place to stay with views to die for. The rooms were large and comfy, thought he mattress seemed a bit old. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good quality for a good price. Walking distance to the train station and a few nice pubs too. "

"Swift and easy check-in. The family room had two bedrooms which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could have done with a rubber bath mat but found out later we could have asked for one. Similarly de-caff tea and coffee I guess. We had our 4-year-old granddaughter with us but there were no issues with noise from the bar below. Limited menu but food was very good. Steaks were lovely. Nice pint too. Great breakfast. "Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! "Gorgeous hotel , stayed here a couple of times and stayed at the gatekeepers cottage, this is a lovely little retreat "

"One night stay when touring North Wales in winter. Ample on-site parking. Quiet warm room which appeared spotlessly clean and bed was comfortable. Stayed is single room which was a bit small, in that for example there was little space for luggage, but this was no problem for one night. Breakfast was superb with a great choice of items. Would definitely stay again."

"We had a nice stay at this hotel; friendly staff, nice food, good sized bedroom and lovely views. We had a standard turret bedroom and whilst it was spacious, the en suite was really small and felt like a shower had been squeezed into a room that used to be a toilet room. There was no space to swing an earwig let alone a cat! The toilet had a cigarette burn on it and the lid on the plastic cistern didn’t fit on the tank. "This is a wonderful manor hotel in the Welsh countryside. The staff were wonderful and so was the food. The room was spacious and well appointed. The only draw back is there is no lift so you will have to carry your luggage up stairs. "

"We were very impressed with the Lion Hotel in Criccieth. It is in a great position with plenty of parking. It is a traditional character hotel, clean, well maintained and decorated with lovely staff. It was also great value, would recommend as a base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula."
