We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. "You cannot beat the view. The host is the best. The place is small & low ceilings, some other quirky things - all just add to the ambiance, and certainly as advertised. Especially for the price - VERY hard to beat."

The apartment had everything you’d need for cooking, laundry and restful spaces. There was a cute porch with a view of a small chapel, a castle and the lake if you stood close to the railing. "We had a lovely time. Torno is an idyllic little village with great food. The villa has stunning views of the lake and provides all necessary comforts. You can walk up into the hills from the villa and reach Como and around the lake easily by boat or bus."

"Pictures don’t do justice to the view that awaits the renter of this apartment! The lake and the surrounding mountains are stunning. The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!"

Great two nights stay.

"The location was in a great location to get to and from Lake Como and also Lugano (Switzerland via train and bus). It was also very easy to get to from Milano Cetrale. The Hotel itself was better than expected given the rate and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We asked for breakfast at an extra cost and again, wasn’t disappointed. The only thing we didn’t like was the pillows but as that’s a very personal thing to get right, you can’t please everyone! I’ll be looking out for B&B hotels in other locations. "
