"What a beautiful hotel! The moment we walked in (well before check in after a long morning of travel), we were welcomed by Stephanie at the front desk with a smile. She allowed to store our luggage and relax at the cozy pool until our room was ready. We had lunch in the restaurant- delicious. We were shown to our room and absolutely loved each detail such as hammock, cookies, comfy bed and pillows, robes, a portable speaker and sliding door to the pool. "Hotel Posada San Juan is a charming place. Our room was lovely and comfortable, including a hammock. The location was great, on a fun neighborhood square where we watched a local dance group practice traditional dances. It was an easy walk to the main town square. We wish we would have stayed there longer!"

We stayed 4 nights & it was too long with no window, when booking I didn’t even consider looking for windows mentioned. It was a superior room with jacuzzi, but no window. "

"I reserved 3 rooms for a week. The hotel is conveniently located, being close to the central parc and its church (on which a nice video projection was made some evenings on the history of the region). The breakfast is really good and filling (there is a menu with different options: chilaquiles, enchiladas, eggs with ham and toasts, fruits with yogourt, waffles). The staff is attentive to our requests (on how best to get somewhere for example) and is very patient with our limited spanish....

"The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect :) had everything you needed. There was also a closeline out the back door for drying clothes that was really handy (And hammock hooks in the room which was cool). The yard is beautiful and has tons of greenery, birds and gheckos. Frida Kahlo the cat that lives there is very friendly and cute. :) The door also had multiple lock options and felt very safe, and the property was only a 10 minute walk from the city center. "

"Property was very nice! The ac in our room was not working properly upon arrival and we were given another room right away. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We walked all over the city even late at night and felt very safe the whole time. "

"Great little gem of a hotel, very walkable to the main square, convenience shops and dining options as well as cafes. Parking is very easy in the road outside the hotel. We arrived late in the day and despite the rain, opted to swim in the pool. Staff were accommodating and handed out towels. We didn't manage to try the breakfast as we had to leave early. Room was clean and with air-conditioning."

"We had an amazing experience at Hotel Maculan, everything was perfect! Hotel Maculan was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms, property and location were all beautiful. Most importantly, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Carlos at the reception desk.
