"Wonderful stone converted coach house, very cosy, helpful owner, lots of bits and bobs in the cupboards, everything thought of, good sized rooms too… great facilities and a huge amount of logs and kindling supplied for the wood burner. Heating system worked brilliantly when we needed it as we were snowed in last two days. The perfect place to walk from direct, We found wonderful walks from our doorstep. "The venue is in a beautiful historic building. The facilities are great including a pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The rooms had massive comfy beds and were cleaned daily with plenty of towels and extra tea, coffee and biscuits. My only quibble is that the rooms didn’t have internet tvs. "

"Great hotel, clean and tidy, lots of parking. Bed comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Only complaint was not having coffee granules available (had Taylors coffee bags which are horrible). Breakfast was adequate - hot food wasn't very hot even when just put out. Would stay there again"

"Although a 3* Hotel, the service we received was more in keeping with a 5*. Our room was clean, free of dust and mould, loved the decor. The swimming pool was a huge attraction for my grandchildren and we were able to continue using the facilities after we had officially checked out. Food was well presented and good sized portion. "

Grand traditional comfortable hotel

"Georgian grand hotel. Hotel has done well to preserve the grand features. This is one for those who like character to a building. Staff were excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of nooks and crannies to sit in with loads of old style leather oxblood sofas and chairs throughout- so comfortable after dinner drinking. Food was lovely. Only requests would be for fresh juices at breakfast rather than concentrate/ squash and a scrambled egg option. Very nice stay - will return. "
