"We booked this hotel as we wanted a hotel that was central to the heel of the boot of Italy so we could travel to the various towns like Lecce, Otranto, Ostuni, Gallipoli etc which were all within about an hour of the hotel. We arrived at Cellino san Marco just after midday and found there was nothing open in the town, no movement at all and thought we had come to a film set of the remake of "On The Beach", a film about a neuclear disaster.
