Almost Just Right
Pictures are always a bit better than reality. There were a few issues that keep it from five stars. First, the queen bed (not the king in main) was NOT comfortable. Husband and wife kept rolling to the middle causing the husband to finish the nights on the sofa. Second, the gravel surface up the steep drive way was kind of a pain and not mentioned in the description. Third, the shower door in main needs repair. Finally, nice to have a grill on the patio, but it was not clean and not to appetizing to cook on.

Disappointed
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this property. We were led to believe by the many reviews, and the listing that it was cleanly, and just an all around great house. That wasn't the case. It seemed like someones lived in house that we rented out. There were toothpaste under the mirrors in the bathroom, dust, dirt and public hairs all along the base boards, cob webs in the house, fruit flies in kitchen, porch not cleaned off, sticky note left about their shower door not working, locks are extremely weird and do not make you feel safe, counters were dirty, floors were dirty, stove dirty, bug poop on the floors, not clean smell when you walk in, fridge was dirty, dirty blinds, unknown stains on the crown molding throughout the house, random stains on the toilet seat...just to name a few issues. There was also a locked door/room/closet inside the master bedroom that made us extremely uncomfortable. We never saw the 10 acres, and never saw instruction on how to explore it all. The donkeys, fish, and chickens made the stay a dream for our toddler, but for my wife and I we were extremely disappointed. We also stayed during hurricane Helene and not once were checked on by the property owners...very strange. We are NOT ones to leave negative reviews, but we didn't want anyone to have to experience that we did...not sure if they just dropped the ball with cleaning this time, or what...but we were very disappointed.

Peaceful Paradise
The home was lovely and comfortable, met the needs of our family of four! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this clean and well stocked home. We spent our evenings on the porch enjoying the lovely view! The home was located near Bryson City and very convenient to local attractions. The only drawback was that the driveway was very steep and our Toyota Camry struggled a bit going up. Other than this, I give this five stars all around!

Relaxing and Peaceful
The property was as listed in VRBO. We enjoyed feeling like life had slowed down. The fish enjoyed our bread a lot. We saw a turtle, rabbits and deer. The landscape was beautiful and the house was well taken carried of.

Nice property
This was a great home base for our quick trip to Bryson City and the Deep Creek hiking and tubing area. The location was just what we wanted - close enough to downtown Bryson City to visit that area as often as we wanted but remote enough to let us enjoy the natural landscape and some good old fashioned peace and quiet. The property was well appointed and comfortable. The view from the front porch was wonderful. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond and even rescued a box turtle who wandered away from the woods up the driveway. And even though we didn’t need the hosts to address any issues, it was good to know that they were nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute Little Farm House
We were very happy with the house and property. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The house was well equipped and stocked with all the necessities we needed. We enjoyed feeding the fish but did not see any horses. The only issue we encountered was with the smart TV - we were able to login to our accounts but whatever we tried to watch would not load or buffeted so much that we gave up. We weren’t too sad though because our teens were forced to talk to us more. Thanks for a great weekend!

Smoky Mountain Vacation
Our family enjoyed our time at this peaceful property. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch to watch it rain as well as visiting the pond to feed the fish. Everything was tidy and clean at the house. It is a little off the beaten path but the directions provided were helpful. Our 4 x 4 vehicle came in handy. My only recommendation would be to bring some extra supplies (clothes detergent, tissues) as the supplies provided were a bit limited. Overall a very positive experience and pleasant stay.

Quiet house in a lovely little town
We travel somewhere new every year for our adult friends vacation. Bryson is a quaint little town. We rode the polar express (in out PJ's) this was so much fun. We experienced Darnell Farms Christmas lights and hay ride. Shopping downtown Bryson and a trip over to Cherokee NC. The house was clean and very well stock with essentials. This house was very quiet and although the owners live on the property we never seen them. The house does have all bedrooms on one floor. No stairs to climb. Actually a total of 3 steps to get into house. Over all a great time had by all.

Wonderful Place to Stay
This was a beautiful home for having friends and family. Spacious place. Love the living rooms. Love how there were board games and activities if we wanted to use them. Plenty of parking available. Definitely worth re-booking in the future if I'm looking for a place to stay again on the next mountain/cabin trip. Plenty of things to do around the area. Follow the directions and you won't get lost. You do not need 4x4 to get to he house, but it might be nice to have since the hill at the end is a little steep. If the weather is bad, then consider 4x4 automobile.

Lovely house, amazing horses and friendly fish!
We had a great stay at this lovely home. It is situated on a hill and as you walk downward there is a very picturesque scene of mountains in the distance above a beautiful small pond and field with stables. Our kids were absolutely enthralled with the two friendly, beautiful horses on the property. They were equally excited about feeding bread to the many super-friendly fish in the fish pond. The horses and fish were some of the main highlights of their trip -- they're still talking about them! They also appreciated the chocolate left for us in the house when we arrived. The house was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you love animals or have kids who love animals. We've stayed at a lot of VRBO cabins and this one was so unique and special because of the setting and the rare opportunity to experience the owners' wonderful animals. I thought perhaps we'd be seeing a lot of the owner(s) who live on site, but we never saw them during our trip. I'm sure they would have been available if needed, though. The property felt very private.
