"Terrazas de Dana is magical. Family of four with special need kids, who also have severe food allergies. Extremely food allergy conscious. Immediately felt welcomed and relaxed. Rooms are super clean, comfortable and spacious. Food is delish and well priced. "the casa is up a road away from the town so you have to get a taxi to anywhere except the tarabita to the waterfalls. The environment is lush and beautiful. The room of the cabin was spacious and clean and comfortable. The first night I stayed there was an accident which knocked out power to Mindo for most of the day, I think the water heater was electric and thus there was no hot water. The staff were very nice and helpful. I did not take meals at the casa so can’t comment on the food."

"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"
