Given the price and general reputation of motels, I was expecting the bare minimum but was pleasantly surprised with Sagamar Inn. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the area seemed very safe.

The night clerk was very nice. The property was clean and tidy. Rooms were clean. First night we had limited towels and wash cloths but the 2nd night was better. The beds were very hard and the pillows so tiny not sure they would pass for pillows anywhere else. If you stay would advise to bring your pillows from home! Overall we would stay again.

It looked like a very used gross motel on the outside. Clean on the inside but it was full of dirty people smoking outside everywhere.

I was moving from hotel to hotel, the beds were like sleeping on the floor, very hard, some I paid for a fridge and microwave but didn't get it, Sagamar, was very pleasant, it had everything you needed, it was remodeled inside, the bed was very comfy and I will give it a high rating inside, it didn't match the outside. The outside was mediocre compared to inside. I will definitely recommend a friend or family to stay there, you will enjoy it.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were filthy. Floor was dirty, hair all in the tub, and tub drain. They have roaches as well. Definitely would not recommend.

They treat me like a real person!

It’s an old motel that I stayed at to be near work. Even with its age, housekeeping and management here keep everything in good working order and very neat! I haven’t seen a pet since I got here, nor noticed anything in the linens that suggest pets around. The non-smoking room doesn’t smell like smoke, and the few guests I’ve met have been friendly and helpful. Clear value here

Friendly but pushy for a review management

Ice machine was not functional, front desk guy was nice enough to give me some, but it wouldn’t have been enough to keep two drinks cold. This seems to be an issue across a lot of motels in this price range. I would have left a better review if the front desk person was not so pushy about doing one. So I did one sir, you’re welcome. 😉 The room was not too bad. Comforter's had burn holes tho.

Property was close to highway and clean. I stay in mostly no frills motels so I don't expect much. But this place had a large window that was left open behind a closed curtain. Very unsafe in my opinion. The mattress was hard and had springs poking you. The toilet was malfunctioning. Staff when told basically seemed not to care. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place.
